5.0 out of 5 stars Best Cover Album Ever!
Face to Face is a truly original band, and this album seals the deal. The best songs are the ones that are the most surprising -- "What Difference Does It Make?" and "That's Entertainment". Imagine, F2F covering The Smiths and The Jam! I love these guys!

Face to Face is always full of suprises. You never know what they will do next. I think it was good that they came out with this album, because it gives fans a new taste of what Face to Face is capable of doing. This album will also bring in new fans. Personally I think that the song "The sunny side of the street" is their best song on this album. I also think they did a really well job on "What difference does it make" and "Thats entertainment." There are some parts on the album where Trevor hits some high notes, which is somthing you never hear on a face to face album. But overall I think they did a very good job on these cover songs.

This is an over all good cover record. "What Diffrence does it make" Is the best song they covered in my view. I am a little biased, because My favorite band is The Smiths. This is a good record. Really polished and clean. I just wanted a little more from Face To Face. This is a really good cover record.

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect choices by a perfect band, February 23, 2001

this band can do no wrong. they are so damn original and they dont give a damn what anyone thinks. so many bands have ripped them off its scary...now to the review...the songs they picked are just a testament to great taste and they do them all justice, from the ramones to psych furs to sugar to fugazi and of course the smiths, pixies, pogues and jawbreaker...i mean come on!! they dont go for stupid wacky covers ala mxpx, new found whatever and me first and the idiots. they cover great songs by great bands and prove once again that they are in a class by themselves.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing., April 20, 2002

This review is from: Standards & Practices (Audio CD)
I remember I was really excited about this disc before it was released--I adore Face to Face--but it turned out to be pretty disappointing. Just not impressive in any way, shape or form. There are a couple of gems, the Sunny Side of the Street cover is good, and I enjoyed The KKK Took My Baby Away, but overall, this is among the worst cover albums I've ever heard, and definitely the worst Face to Face album.
