This review is from: Standing Tall (Steeple Hill Women's Fiction #30) (Mass Market Paperback)
I have been a fan of Sharon Gillenwater (aka Sharon Harlow)for a long time now. She has an easy way to her writing and always a good story. The Town is Willow Grove and the story started with her book "McKinnon's Bride" (sharon Harlow)that told the story of Cade McKinnon and Jessie. The second book was "Twice Blessed" (sharon Gillenwater) the story of Ty McKinnon and Camille. This story has all the familiar characters in it and mainly involves Ransom Starr and Lily along with Jessie's brother Quint. Ransom was an ex Ranger, Detective and at the end of Twice Blessed he was asked to be Sheriff of Willow Grove. Lily and her brother are traveling and her father is killed in cold and she sees the killer but the killer didn't see her. She wanted to find the killer to seek revenge and through special circumstances ends up causing Ransom to fall off a balcony. He was hurt really bad and she and her brother took charge of his care. The doctors say he won't walk again but Ransom is determined and so is Lily. Will he be worthy of Lily if he has to use a cane and will Lily give up the idea of revenge. Woven in this story are all the other characters that you have come to know and love. I really enjoyed this story. You can read this as a stand along book but I feel you would enjoy it much more if you started with the beginning book.
