Got these to replace an old set that were just worn out. Very pleasantly surprised. Quality and handling are good, and at a decent price. Usually, a hammer is a hammer, but not all chisels are the same. If this is where your budget is, then these are highly recommended.

I am getting into woodworking, and need to build up a collection of tools. I figured these chisels would get me started. While they are good quality, they are very top-heavy, and uncomfortable to use for finer work. If you are planning to do any fine work with chisels, you should buy chisels with wooden handles. Another problem is that these are tapered bevel edge chisels (i.e. the bevel edge does not extend to a narrow land). This makes them harder to use for cutting dovetails, etc.

But I would imagine that for general carpentry these chisels would be just fine.

Surprisingly substantial and sharper than I expected. The handles and blades are longer than I anticipated and more substantial than most discount chisels. For under $20 this is a good deal for a basic set of three.
