This Stanley Indoor Electronic Countdown Timer allows you to turn overhead lighting or other devices off automatically. It has intervals of 10, 20, 30 or 60 minutes. It replaces any indoor wall switch and has a hold feature which allows for extended operation. Must be hard wired to existing wall switch wiring and you should consult an electrician when installing. It will help save money and energy - in the OFF position, timer cuts power to device, eliminating wasteful standby power. Rating: UL/CUL 120V/8.3A/1000W Tung/Re.

I bought this switch to operate a yard light that is used often and the kids don't remember to turn off. It operates by pressing a single control button. One press sets it to 10 minutes, another press to 30 minutes, etc. It then counts down from there. Problem is that if you want to just turn on briefly then turn the light back off you have to press the control button several times to cycle through the different times until you get back to off. It would be much better to have had a separate off button. The picture shows it to be grey, but it is all white.
