Bought this with fear of not working with CFL lights, but turns out that it does; even stated on the packaging. Also, not mentioned is that it will require a neutral wire. For some older homes, this might not be compatible.

Display is illuminated in blue and a nice touch.

As an electrician for 16 years and now a power systems engineer, I can appreciate the heaver-than-typical gauge of the conductors. I was surprised to hear a relay click within these switches instead of a PCB with a heat sink. Hard to find this level of quality these days for devices such as this. Most dimmers and timers of this type have lower ratings, so the inherent quality is not required. Programming is simple and intuitive. I also like the random setting so that the lights come on at +/- 15min each night so that the residence appears occupied. The push button override is also handy, as I can shut the light off if I come home early and decide that I don't want to waste electricity. The push button also illuminates red when the unit is active. Two slight drawbacks; One is that you must use Decora (Rocker Style) wallplates. I had no problem because I use Decora. The other slight drawback is the size of the devices. You will need to dress the wiring in the box very neatly in order to fit these devices. But I would have to expect this since the unit is relay driven and has a good current rating. I purchased 2 of these from Amazon; One was installed in a 4-gang switch bank and the other in a 2-gang. Both are working flawlessly. Highly recommended...

Well. Quite a waste of time. In the ad itself, it does not mention that this item is only for a single receptacle ! I have a double receptacle I wanted to install it into.
The package itself claims it is suitable for a double receptacle, but no matter how hard we tried we could not fit it in. After calling the manufacturer, we were advised that this item ONLY fits into a single receptacle. Really could have used my time for waiting to get this item, then trying for a long time to fit it into where we needed it and trying to reach the manufacturer to be told that you can't use it what it claimed it could on the package.
