5.0 out of 5 stars As advertised!
Remote control that turns on and off a device that you connect it to.
I use it for turning on and off a cable modem SBG-6580? from two rooms down.
It's two pronged, so if you want to use a three prong cable get an adapter ($1.00 in your local Dollar store) or simply cut/pry the third prong.
Make a note of the maximum specs: Up to 125 Volts, 5 Amps, 625...

I purchased this item believing it was as pitcured in ad. When item arrived it did not look anything like the ad photo. I wanted the item with the three prong recepticle as show in the photo, the item received only has a 2 prong recepticle. I complained to Amazon and they appoligized and sent out another item with instructions to return the wrong one. When the replacement arrived it was the same as the first one. Again I contacted Amazon and advised them of the problem and they sent another item with instructions for the return of the wrong one. Guess what? Again they sent the same wrong item. 3 wrong items and now I am saddled with the effort of packaging labeling and finding a drop off point to retun the wrong items. Still never receiced the correct item. On top of all of this I get a reminder that if I do not return the items I will be charged for all three. Unbelievable experience.

I bought this remote to start my space heater and my lamp in my room. I love it so much I'm thinking about getting the one that had multiple on/off switches. It is perfect for reading in bed at night and turning the space heater on from downstairs before i go upstairs.
