The Stanley 25-Foot-by-1-Inch PowerLock Tape Rule is reinforced on the first six feet with BladeArmor coating for maximum durability. A special Tru-Zero hook does double-duty as a pivot for drawing circles and arcs. For a longer life, this tape measure features a Mylar polymer-coated blade, a heat-treated spring, and a chrome-plated metal case.

BladeArmor coating for maximum durability.

A three-rivet, corrosion-resistant hook stands up to continuous use and an epoxy-coated belt clip is fastened on back of the case for portability. A forward blade lock design simplifies locking and unlocking the blade. Graduated in 1/16-inch increments, The tape blade measures 25-feet-by-1-inch with up to an 8-foot standout. To simplify framing jobs, the bright yellow, easy-to-read blade has 16-inch and 19.2-inch stud center markings. The tape rule comes with Stanley's limited lifetime warranty.

This tape measure is one of the best out there. Its chrome case makes it look good and since it's rounded, it's comfortable to hold. The actual tape is very strong and holds sturdy even across the length of the room. The lock mechanism works well and best of all, when you've got your measurement, it doesn't zip back up really fast and slash innocent bystanders with whiplash.

FYI ==> Looks like metal casing in picture but its really just plastic. They conveniently left that out in the description. Metal casings hold up better when dropped on concrete. The hold button is also plastic (Clip is metal). I gave it 3 stars for low price and the fact that the tape is very rugged. Also, the package saying its "Made in USA with Global Materials" must be the new lawyer candy for foreign made.
