I received the Stanley hammer and used it on another project. The hammer feels solid and balanced and drives the nails in well, the head surface is larger than I've normally seen, which is nice. I drove in many nails for the project, and I didn't feel any of the shocks I had felt while using my old hammer. Also the next day my arm was just fine.
I can't attest the the longevity of the hammer, since I've just used it for one project.
I purchased this when the price had dropped, so it was pretty much the same cost as a wooden or fiberglass handled one. I don't know how the modern wooden/fiberglass handled hammers are, since the wood one I have is quite old. I can't really make a comparison.
Bottom line, it looks like a quality made hammer, and my hand/arms were not sore after using it.

"Does the trick, good for hammering stuff.
Sometimes I walk around the house with it just to feel like a real man."
I like the hammer, it feels well made. Although i really can't figure out where to put my name on it. So I had to resort to putting some duct tape around it. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Tulio Troche
Not a 22 ounce hammer as advertised. I selected the 22 ounce option and received a 20 ounce hammer.Published 2 months ago by Kginger
