4.0 out of 5 stars Cant beat it for the price
For the price, everyone should have one of these in their toolbox. Its great for those times where you need a little bit of leverage in a small place. I have personally found mine most usefull as a helper when hanging a door, it was just the right size and thickness.

These are cheap....now we're covered the good point. This pry bar is too thick for trim removal jobs and that sort of thing. It bends easily, so its not really a pry bar, except when working on a Barbie house. For good small pry bars, worth many times the difference in price, try the Hyde # 45000 pry bar or the Titan #17005.

For the price, everyone should have one of these in their toolbox. Its great for those times where you need a little bit of leverage in a small place. I have personally found mine most usefull as a helper when hanging a door, it was just the right size and thickness.

Due to its thickness, this is not a strong pry bar and it does have some flex, but it will do for anything a reasonable person would attempt with a 7" long pry bar. The relatively thin thickness is also what makes this pry bar so handy, it is not that thick bar of steel like most pry bars, this thing is only slightly thicker than a stamped piece of sheet metal.

If you dont expect a "real" pry bar when you order this, you will be very happy with what you get, especially for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars A simple but surprisingly versatile tool, June 7, 2006

This review is from: Stanley 55-045 7-1/2-Inch Wonder Bar II Pry Bar (Tools & Home Improvement)
The Wonder Bar II is small, light, inexpensive, and amazingly handy. It works great as a small crowbar, and I was surprised by how useful it is to have a selection of lever arms and grip shapes available to meet various nail-pulling needs. This may deliver the best value for the money of anything in my tool box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Neat little tool, January 10, 2012

This is another one of those handly little tools I wish my husband and I had when we redecorated his "man cave". There's not too much to say about it...it pulls out those smaller nails with ease, and its a Stanley too. It looks more like a Stanley tool, with the Stanley coloring, than what is shown in the picture online.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect addition to my EDC tool kit, February 10, 2010
This review is from: Stanley 55-045 7-1/2-Inch Wonder Bar II Pry Bar (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this because I wanted a small prybar that would fit in my EDC bag. Although I have larger prybars in my truck toolbox, I often have need of a prybar that I can have on my person at all times, in the same way that my multi-tool, while not as heavy-duty as my more purpose-built tools, is ready at a moment's notice without having to pause to go to my truck.
This small prybar has served the purpose admirably. It is cheaper than some of the tools I have seen advertised by EDC-specific companies, but has a lot going for it: small enough to be easily carried, high-carbon steel for strength, and the shape lends itself to the tasks for which I use it. Specifically, disassembling scrap materials for salvage, whenever and wherever I find them. This can be rough duty for any prybar; it speaks well of the quality that one so small can be up to the task and not bend or break.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad thing to have in the tool box!, January 9, 2009
This review is from: Stanley 55-045 7-1/2-Inch Wonder Bar II Pry Bar (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this pry bar a few years ago. It went untouched for a very long time! That all changed when our new refrigerator got delivered. I measured twice and ordered once (I should have measured three times, but I'm happy I didn't!) In under 2 minutes, I was working with the wonderbar and my hammer. The molding came loose from the wall, the refrigerator slid into place and the day ended well! You might not use this pry bar every day, but the one time you need it, you will be glad you did! Buy it!

This is thinner than the wood chisels and come in handy. It's great to finally have tools that work.

1.0 out of 5 stars useless, March 13, 2007

This review is from: Stanley 55-045 7-1/2-Inch Wonder Bar II Pry Bar (Tools & Home Improvement)
Its hard for me to imagine what the people that rate this highly use it for. Perhaps they are confusing this with the original Wonder Bar, which is a very useful tool

I agree with what Mr. Pearson said, its too thick for anything small and delicate (like trim) and too small to be of any use for anything large. I'm not familiar with the bars he recommends but instead of this piece of junk I suggest the Red Devil 4050 Scrape 'N Pry Bar. Thats a constant in my tool bag

1.0 out of 5 stars Save Your Money, Pass On This Item, September 7, 2006

Part of the title is correct, "Wonder". Cause after you receive this item you will wonder why you bought it. Stanley is a big name, but this item is a toy, not a tool. It is made out of 3/16 X 7/8" flat bar. It is to short to give the proper leverage. No design flaws, just to small and thinly made. It does however have a cute two tone paint scheme. If you pull this out of your tool bag on any site, the other workers would laugh you off the job. This one will stay hidden in my roll aroung tool box. I would have given it a zero, but that wasn't an option. Save your money, spend it on something else.
