I love these sawhorses and I would have given them a higher rating if they were made tougher and had written instuctions. Because I didn't read the pictures correctly (no written instructions) I ended up putting a crack in one of the lower support beams when I tried to raise (force) the sawhorse to a height that I needed at that moment. Had I known that you need to close the sawhorse first and than change the height I could have avoided that. Even so, the sawhorses survived me and still work great. They store great, are light and will probably outlive me. :-)

These sawhorses are very versatile. I especially like the adjustable height. Right now I put a 3'x4' sheet of 3/4" MDF on them and am using them as a temporary workbench/assembly table. They're plenty sturdy for my purposes and the lower shelf is very convenient for holding small tools while I work (hand drill, jig saw, etc).

These sawhorses (2 per pack) are very stable, seem plenty durable, the top raises easily and stays firmly in place. The tool tray is useful, and there's a convenient "pull" handle to open them. However, there are two little issues that prevent me from giving this 5 stars.

First, when the top supports are extended, the extension wings are pretty flimsy. In every other way, these horses seem durable, but these wings are made of flimsy plastic and have little internal support. The result--they twist easily, bend downward with little pressure, and seem like they'd break easily. Now, if you're always laying material on them perfectly flat, you should be fine because the load will mostly be carried on the strong top member. Just don't put weight on the wings alone.

The second problem is more of a packaging issue. The package comes with two "smart v-groove attachments" that fit on the ends of the top member to support a 2x4 (either flat or on its side) or a pipe, depending on which way you attach them. See the problem? You get TWO--that's enough for ONE sawhorse. Maybe that's okay if you're using them to hold a pipe, but for a 2x4 work surface, you'd need two per horse. What's worse, Stanley apparently doesn't sell these things separately, so if you want two more, you'll have to make them yourself. This is just dumb--either give us four, or at least sell them separately! Don't know what the folks at Stanley were thinking here.

The horses came in a huge box--actually, two large boxes taped together--with a bit of packing paper tossed in. I could have gotten in the box with these sawhorses and had room to spare. They weren't damaged, but it's a laughable packing job.

I already had one pair of these sawhorses but needed another for a new project. Key for me is the ability to raise them to a more comfortable height, they fold flat when done, and there is nothing to rust. Great value!!

The product works well, and meets my expectations. The packing it received, however, before shipment, could have been improved: the supports were simply wrapped in corrugated paper secured with tape, then shipped. On arrival, the package was split open, and the UPS driver and I were concerned to make sure all the parts were present - they were, but the reverse could easily have been the case. So - good product, but a relatively poor shipping experience. However, I am happy with the order because nothing was missing and the product as ordered arrived and works well - all's well that ends well, eh?

I really like these sawhorses. Great for the type of work that I do. But, I was pleasantly surprised to find them on sale ($10 off) at the local Home Depot for a total of $50 plus tax.
Be careful when pulling up the top rest. I held the bottom cross piece down with my foot and the unit was cold and the plastic piece broke off in two pieces. In fairness, I had my foot on only one cross piece. Better to place foot on two cross pieces at the same time. In looking at the break area, I concluded the design is weak and prone to breakage unless you are very careful.
I shall repair it with epoxy and aluminum.

Important to be able to clamp and cut lumber on the sawhorse. The included v-groove attacments make this partially possible. I say partially because while one can put a standard 2x4 across the top of one saw horse using the included brackets, you can't replicate this on the other sawhorse of a pair because only one set of "smart v-groove" attachments - enough for only one saw horse - is included in the twin packStanley 60622 Folding Adjustable Sawhorse Twin Pack. I have attempted to find somewhere to buy another set of v-groove attachments but no such luck. All US dealers I have been able to locate thru search, including Amazon, stock only the saw horse twin pack itself and not the attachments seperately (found a UK dealer that does). This greatly reduces the usefulness - otherwise would have given 5 stars.

This is the second set of these sawhorses I have bought. They're great. I have 2 homes and I now have a set at each. This is the first time I ordered them from Amazon. The packing was poorly done, the carton broke, and the accessory holders were apparently lost in transit. I learned my lesson. No more bulky items will be ordered by me from Amazon.

I bought these saw horse since they have the height adjustment feature. I considered making my own, but due to time constraints I needed them for a project that I am working on. I found that these saw horses are extremely stable, which I didn't expect since they are very light weight. Versatile, light, and stable sums up these saw horses. I highly recommend them. By the way, having a cross-support under the main support beam (when the main support arm is raised) allows you to put finished work (i.e., boards) on them an not take up more room in your shop. The shelfs also add this feature which makes a person who has limited floor space very happy. Finally, they fold flat for quick and easy storage.

... I just wish it had been a little more self-evident how to adjust the height. I had a real duh moment when I was setting them up the first time, but once I figured out that you had to close them to adjust the height, it was all good.
