5.0 out of 5 stars Great tool for those with arthritis or dexterity issues!
The handle is very soft & the ratchet system make driving screws a snap. Takes half the time & half the effort. I bought this for my wife to make it easier for her & I use it more than her. Great choice of screw heads included.

3.0 out of 5 stars Heavy duty driver, but poorly designed.
Stanley Tools labels this Contractor Grade, and it certainly is quite hefty in weight and feels heavy duty. But I found this to be an unpleasant tool to use. This is due to its long length and the large unbalanced, bulky handle, which is covered with a rough feeling rubber. Holding this tool is awkward and using it uncomfortable.

This is due to its long length and the large unbalanced, bulky handle, which is covered with a rough feeling rubber. Holding this tool is awkward and using it uncomfortable.

The tool comes with 10 screwdriver bits, six of which are in the handle. Turning the driver knob to access the bits requires some effort. Also, the bits do not easily pop out. I had to use a pair of needlepoint pliers to pull out the bits. The driver is made in Taiwan.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mix of good and not so good, November 6, 2007
This review is from: Stanley 68-010 10-Inch Multi-bit Screwdriver (Tools & Home Improvement)
I have two of these, and I use them often because the ratcheting feature is so handy. But I'm not sure I'd recommend this particular version.

Pros:
- The ratchet mechanism is very handy, if you don't have a screwdriver with bits and a ratchet get one. Maybe this one, maybe not.
- The grip is large and has a finish that's easy to grasp and turn.

Cons:
- It's big - 10.5" with the tip - so there are places you can't get into with this.
- But, you don't get the benefit of the size - it's not able to drive screws that a screwdriver this size should be able to. The bits are more standard and small (1-point and 2-point Phillips, 3/16-inch and 1/4-inch slotted), so they slip in large screws. So - this won't replace all your other screwdrivers - only the medium sized jobs.
- I've never used the other tips it comes with.
- It's not well balanced. The tip end is heavy.

So it's not a tool I love using, every time I pick it up I think it could be better.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Product, September 27, 2006
This review is from: Stanley 68-010 10-Inch Multi-bit Screwdriver (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought one of these for my dad for a birthday present at the local walmart for i think around 8$ at the time several years ago and it just sat in his toolbox and he never used it. So one day i was in a hurry and grabbed it to do a job and it has stuck with me ever since. Love this screw driver hold all the bits. works great. Only things i do not like about it is it seems like it is made kindof loose but thats just the way it is put together as the bit holder thing spins with the handle and the bits are a little hard to get out sometimes other than that great product. not worth 15$ though id say 5$ at the most

4.0 out of 5 stars Stanley - Good, not Great, January 17, 2006

Stanley has a very workable multifunction tool here, I expect several years of moderate service but it lacks the fine attention to detail you see in more expensive lines, so I doubt my son will inherit it in working condition. Still, for prices as low as $7 at my local Menards, it is tough to beat the versatility and convenience, the larger handle gives greater torque and the bits can easily be replaced as they wear.

4.0 out of 5 stars Takes standard size replaceable bits, March 31, 2009
By
This review is from: Stanley 68-010 10-Inch Multi-bit Screwdriver (Tools & Home Improvement)
The main reason I got this one was so that I could use my standard size replaceable bits. Many of the home projects I tackle use quite a few Phillips #2 screws, which tend to eat up screwdrivers. I got tired of buying entire #2 drivers, and since I already had a box of #2 screw bits for my power drill, I wanted a handheld screwdriver that took the same size bits.

I agree that getting the extra bits in and out of their storage slots is kinda of annoying. But I will almost always be using just the #2 bits, so don't much care.

I don't mind the big, clunky size, perhaps because I have big clunky hands.

When I need to get into smaller spaces, I have other screwdrivers for that. When I need the bigger #3 or even #4 Phillips drivers, I have those already, and don't attempt to use #2 bits on those screws.

This is a nice product. It's probably not meant for heavy work, but for around the home and general work, it's very, very nice. When I bought it, I thought there was going to be storage for all the bits inside the handle, but that's not the case. There's a yellow plastic holder that's meant for hanging the screwdriver on the wall (or wherever), and the 3-4 bits that don't fit inside the handle near the base the metal fit in it. It feels like it's made from high-quality materials and has high-quality workmanship. A nice bargain.

I've definitely seen nicer "all-in-one" screwdrivers, but for the price this is a good pick-up.
Holds the bits nicely. Has forward and reverse ratchet.
Feels solid in your hands.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but, October 19, 2007
This review is from: Stanley 68-010 10-Inch Multi-bit Screwdriver (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this one to replace a similar one that was lost and had no ratchet and only four heads. This one is Ok but I think it is a bit heavy and the rotating part that holds heads is difficult to use. Good materials were used to build this one thought.

Excellent multi purpose screwdriver. My only complaint is that it is hard to turn to get at another bit. Could be my arthritis kicking in. Well worth the price and a quality tool.
