Amazon.com Product Description
The Stanley 24-Inch Bailey Heavy Duty F Clamp works as a brawny third hand when you need a tough clamp to pin down your projects. This hardy clamp features a removable bar design that allows you to integrate longer or shorter bars, as needed -- plus it offers quick, easy conversion to a spreader for added versatility. It even has a hole in the jaw face to provide an attachment point for shims or other shop-made accessories. But this F clamp isn't all business and no comfort.
Its bi-material, tri-lobular handle is easy on your hands and provides more torque; and the removable jaw pads are gentle on delicate finishes or surfaces. Designed to work long and last long, the Bailey F Clamp boasts a rugged "I" beam bar that resists twisting and bending, and it's finished off with a high-visibility, corrosion-resistant finish. This device has a clamp size of 5 inches, and an overall length of 24 inches.
About Stanley Bailey Clamps
Stanley's Bailey line of tools is designed with the woodworker in mind, with innovative solutions for making projects turn out great. A good clamp is easy to tighten and adjust, it holds securely, and it won't mar the surface it's clamped to. The Bailey line of clamps are designed to do precisely these things, with the added benefit of reinforced nylon and steel construction on most products that ensure strength and durability.
The Stanley Story
The Stanley Works, originally a bolt and door hardware manufacturing company located in New Britain, Connecticut; was founded in 1843 by Frederick T. Stanley. A few years later, in 1857, Fredericks cousin, Henry Stanley, founded The Stanley Rule and Level Company. In 1920, The Rule and Level Company merged with The Stanley Works and would go on to become its famous Hand Tools Division. Over the years, The Stanley Works has produced some of the most innovative and useful tools ever made. Among these tools are the Bailey Plane, the Surform shaper, the PowerLock tape rule and most recently the FatMax line of products. Today, more than ever, Stanley continues to be an industry leader in tool innovation. In 2001, Stanley introduced more than 100 new products, bringing to 400 the number of new products introduced in the past four years. As a direct result of Stanleys commitment to excellence, Stanley was awarded the Prestigious Golden Hammer Award, presented for New Product Innovation in both 2000 and 2001.
