I have quite a number of tools; don't really need all the ones I have, but I am sort of a tool freak and have more than just a little impulse buyer in me.

Anyway...

Of all the tools I own I probably use this one the most. I actually have four or five of these things - all Stanley. The reason I have so many is because they are a very good plies that sell for comparatively very little money. That is the first reason. The second reason is that I keep loosing or misplacing these pliers and other tools. I have them laying all over the place. I have a project I need to accomplish...no tool! I purchase another and then low and behold the original eventually show up...normally right where I placed it so that I could remember where I placed it.

These plies have a good grip and are extremely versatile. I use them on plumbing projects, on the car, fixing mowers and generally when I want to get a good grip on something while I use some other tool with it. The adjustment is easy and holds well. I like the yellow handle because it shows up better when I lay it in the grass (There is no telling how many tools I have laying around our place, rusting and waiting for an archeologist to dig up eons from now.)

I suppose if I made a living with tools such as this; used them constantly on a professional level, I would go for a higher quality. But as it is these suits my needs perfectly and does not break me every time I have to buy a new one...aggravates my wife a bit, that is true, but then a lot of my quirks do.

This is a great tool for home use. I also have a couple of the 8 inch size...they work quite well too.

Bought this to remove a stuck locknut doing some amateur hour toilet repairs (my wrench didn't work so well). Anyways the product appears to be well designed and has comfortable grips. Also, the price was more appealing than other comparable products, which is why I bought it in the first place.

It got the job done and I am happy with my purchase.

In the middle of a toilet crisis my old red-handled stanley set were nowhere to be found. Despite my fears regarding quality at this price, I was pleasantly suprised to find out theyre actually really nice pliers. The handles are the tiny-est bit too thick if youre being critical, but considering the price and the quality I could care less. Theyre just as good as my old plumbing pliers, and sometimes the extra thickness has given me... well... extra grip. The metal is quality, there is some spring in the handles but no bending, good stuff. $8 bucks with another $4 for next day shipping using amazon prime, I still ended up spending less than if I had gone down somewhere and bought them, unless its some bargain depot tool place where you get those horrible cheap tools. I would highly reccomend these pliers to anyone, because of their price and quality.

The only con I could think of is the banana yellow-ness, but its nothing a permenant marker cant fix, just make sure its really permenant so it doesnt bleed. I used a large red perm. marker and got a neat orange.

No, not my teeth. Though that's a good idea to save on dental bills.

I was using these pliers to take off an old sink trap and a few of the teeth broke right off on the pipe, rendering this thing totally useless. It couldn't get a good grip on anything after that. I returned this POS and went out and bought myself a real Channellock and it worked great.

When I bought these I didn't think the would be as nice as they are. I had all the major brand names and these can compete with them. Nice heavy, solid and just feel good in your hand. Haven't owned a stanley product until these Stanley 84-024 10-Inch Bi-Material Groove Joint Pliers which I would recommend to family and friends for sure. Posted some pictures.
