I used this tool once/ not jewelry work but around the house and the tip bent, of poor quality? Lite duty at best

My experience mirrors that of the previous reviewer. The jaw tips bend with moderate pressure.

These pliers come in handy and I am thrilled to have them available for myself whenever needed now. A great basic tool to have in your tool chest.

I teach 7th grade and use a lot of the large Expo dry erase pens with my students. Expo Low Odor Chisel Tip Dry Erase Markers, 12 Black Markers (80001) Frequently the kids mash down the tips, which meant that I was throwing away pens that still had plenty of ink. This needle nose saved me. It's thin enough that I can reach in and pull the pen tip back up to where it should be, hence saving me a bunch of pens (and $$$) in the long run.

In response to the other reviews about the weakness, it feels solid to me. You have to remember that this tool is designed for smaller scale, sensitive work. It's not meant for heavy duty prying of large objects.

Not what you would want to say about a tool but heck they are 5 inches just what I need.

Purchased these pliers for a teacher at my child's school. The teacher says it was just what she needed for a certain experiment the kids were doing. Thanks!
