Agreed, this is a must have for moving big flat panels. I know of several guys having ripped their biceps carrying plywood the conventional method, by hand. I bought this not wanting to suffer injury the same way and after 40 sheets of ply and 40 sheets of sheetrock I am glad I did.

One word of warning, and the reason I dropped a star rating, if carrying panels up stairs be careful as the panels, especially plywood, tend to slide. I used double faced tape to apply an old sanding belt which provided plenty of friction to prevent sliding. Aside from that, buy this thing and save yourself from possible injury.

Provides just enough length for grabbing the bottom of a 4'x8' sheet (in lieu of longer arms) so one person can carry it. Sturdy enough to lift 3/4" 7-ply birch plywood (pretty heavy). It's made of heavy duty plastic, so it doesn't add a lot of weight to what you're lifting.

I found this product to work well. I modified it because I found it hard to keep the weight of 5/8 inch sheetrock from opening my grip on the handle. I took a small fabric "tie down" and looped it though the handle and around my shoulder (on the side opposite the carrying side) so that the weight of the panel was transferred to my shoulder. I found this to be more comfortable than holding the handle with my hand.

Read previous reviews. Bought and immediately put lots of rubber bands around the flat area that panels would be placed. Then moved 16 sub-flooring panels with a few breaks between groups of 4. Not bad for a 62 year-old lady and could not have done the task as quickly without this tool. Last time I ask a neighbor, but he move.

... Able to do a lot more work with a lot less effort. Sure, you can just grip the plywood from the top, or hold one hand high and one low, resting the board or sheetrock on your shoulder, but it's energy that can be best spent elsewhere.
... A handy person can slap a helpful aid together themselves, but it's $6 well spent.

it is worth every penny. helped me carry 50 sheets of 1/2 inch drywall into the basment by myself. I couldnt have done it with out this. panels slip a little if not held tightly but overcame with addition of 2 side tape and piece of 280 grit sandpaper.

I had to carry three sheets of 5/8" particle board by myself for a project that I'm doing. I couldn't have carried it without this handle. While it was still very heavy to move, at least I could move it.

The reason that I didn't give five stars is because it's difficult to get the piece up onto the handle. I found that I could lean the handle against my leg, lift the edge of the piece to get the handle under it, then kind of slide the handle to the middle. If the handle was designed to stand up on its own, it would have certainly gotten five stars from me.
