This cap seems to seal well enough to hold the liquids in but it can't seem to hold the steam in and makes squeaky sounds when the thermos is full of coffee. The original cap didn't have this issue.

Doesn't work as well as the original. Drips when partially open and pouring. Old one did not.

Product description needs some common sense!,

There are 2 stoppers for Stanley thermoses. Those made before and after 2002. For some reason that I am not privy to, someone decided to call them stopper A and universal stopper B. There is no reference to these terms on the bottom of the thermos. This makes it very confusing to order the right stopper. I had to order both to get the correct one. It wasn't until I received the items that it was obvious which was the correct stopper. The model numbers and before and after 2002 were listed on the package. Shouldn't
this info be in the product description when you are ordering it in the first place?

Stanley classic Universal Stopper B,
This review is from: Stanley Replacement Stopper (Sports)
This stopper replaces the original that had two rubber o rings one on top and one on the bottom.
If you compare the original with this replacement you can see that there is a lower land where a o ring should go, it looks like the company is trying to save money by manufacturing these without the lower o ring. What a shame to change a design that worked outstanding for so many Years, O WELL TO BAD SO SAD, another great old American product gone bad by out sourcing the job out of the good old USA!

The stopper looks like the original, but is missing a gasket at the lower end. As a result, the stopper leaks. Do not buy it!

Good stoppers for the old thermos bottles are hard to find. This one fit great and keeps coffee hotter than most.

a REFERENCE CHART IS NEEDED TO BUY THESE ALADDIN/STANLEY THERMOS STOPPERS THIS IS THE 2ND STOPPER THAT I'VE PURCHASED THAT ISN'T RIGHT FOR MY STANLEY THERMOS. iT FITS IN THE OPENING AND SCREWS IN, ... BUT LEAKS LIKE CRAZY!! I suggest that if you are looking for a stopper for your thermos, ... go to the Stanley website, and reference your thermos model # to match the correct stopper

Our thermos required a #11 stopper and unfortunately this one is not universal as it didn't fit that thermos. We would love to know if you carry one that does.

This cap leaks. It leaks when it is closed (not good seal) and dribbles all over when using it to pour. Retruned it and will continue to use my old cracked one.
