4.0 out of 5 stars not what i needed
This hole puncher is nice and punches holes almost effortlessly but i bought it for my 7 hole planner and was unable to adapt the seven holes as per my planner. It was very frustrating and I tried almost any combination possible to no avail. I ended buying the hole puncher sold by the planner brand. 1.0 out of 5 stars Won't adjust for 7-punch on an 8.5 inch piece of paper
I bought this product looking to have a multi-sheet ability to punch 7 holes in a piece of paper to fit in a Franklin-Covey style "classic" binder. (5.5 in. by 8.5 in.)

Much to my disappointment, it was not as adjustable as I needed it to be. Although I had the 7 punches, the space is designed such that I could not put the seven punches where I needed them...

1.0 out of 5 stars Won't adjust for 7-punch on an 8.5 inch piece of paper, June 17, 2007

I bought this product looking to have a multi-sheet ability to punch 7 holes in a piece of paper to fit in a Franklin-Covey style "classic" binder. (5.5 in. by 8.5 in.)

Much to my disappointment, it was not as adjustable as I needed it to be. Although I had the 7 punches, the space is designed such that I could not put the seven punches where I needed them. There are several spaces along the track which are solid so I couldn't put the punches there.

It was not clear from the descriptions or the photographs that this item is not fully adjustable.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could have been a great product, February 22, 2010

Product works as advertised so you would assume it is a good product but you know what they say about assuming. What is NOT advertised is that the punch heads sit in three separate tracks and you can only adjust the punch heads so much. I purchased this product to punch seven equidistance holes in my preprinted checks so the stubs could be held in a binder. Due to the products limitations, I can punch only five holes in the proper positions and have to manually punch single holes for the other two.

If this product had a single track so the punch heads were fully adjustable I would have given it a five star rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holy!, September 26, 2011

I use this to punch 3 holes in paper. It comes with a total of 7 hole punch heads and I went ahead and threw the others away. I only need 3 holes, not 4, or 5, or 6, or 7. It does create the three holes that I need in exactly the right areas of the paper provided you adjust the hole punch correctly and insert the paper in such a fashion that the hole punch heads are where you want the holes to be punched. It does take very little force to punch the holes and I frequently sneak in a few more pages than the recommended "25." shhhh. don't tell anyone, but this hole punch can handle it.

7 heads = good; Where they go = very, very bad. You cannot adjust this for desk datebooks, and the punches sold by Franklin Covey and Day Timer are getting bad ratings. Where is a person to go for a good hole punch these days?

Grrrr.

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't do What I needed it to Do, January 30, 2010

I got this because I needed a sturdy 7-hole punch for my Franklin Covey daytimer. The holes on this are not adjustable to that size and so I couldn't use it and had to return it. I've burned through 2 of the FC hole punches so wanted something stronger. This will not adjust to fit a daytimer though.

While well-designed in general, this product is incapable of punching holes that are compatible with the Day-Timer "desk" format looseleaf planner system.

This product does not set up very easily for seven holes - we have a daytimer system and we were not able to
"adjust" to their seven hole system. Very disappointed. This was very misleading.

While the puncher is sturdy, it could not be adjusted to punch the center hole. The lever mechanism blocks the center so that papers were always off-center.
