I had purchased a comparable electric stapler manufactured by another company but that one didn't work very well. This Bostitch Electric Stapler works fine. It may not look very stylish but if you want something to staple a few to a moderate number of pages, this Stanley stapler is fine.

I had an earlier version of this stapler that wore out after eight years of heavy use. I replaced it with this one from Amazon. Although this one is no longer US made, the quality is still excellent.

I'd compare it to an plain Jane Italian made espresso machine...no bells and whistles but rock-solid reliability.

Two important things about this stapler that make it stand out: First, it does not use an AC adapter and plugs directly into the electric outlet. Competing brands claim to give you flexibility by using batteries or an AC adapter. But that is false economy because you will trade off the force with which this one can staple right through heavy paper. This model works particulary well with Speedpoint SF 4 staples sold at your local office supply stores (they cost a bit more but last a long time). They work better than the Bostich branded staples.

Second, the red indicator light warns you when you're about to run out of staples. It is not perfect but does the job.

There's nothing "pretty" about this stapler, but it is a low key workhorse that does just one thing really well: Staple!

I'm on my second one of these. I do a lot of stapling at work. My first one wore out in about a year or two, and I thought well I had a lemon. So I bought another one and now it's doing the same thing. It gets jammed and has a week staple sound. I've got them unjammed, but it's like the spring has broken and it won't work anymore.

I do love the way it staples -- I have no problem with that at all. It's just shouldn't it last more than a couple of years?

I will look for a better quality one.

The stapler works great. It is effortless to use. No more bruised palm from pounding on a manual stapler.

I bought this product based on reviews that I had read. I love it! It gets much daily use in my office. I have had no problems with it jamming and it easily staples twenty sheets. I have even pushed it to do twenty-five, but it's not often I need to staple more that twenty. I definitely recommend this product.

I picked this up for the office (don't worry, I got reimbursed) for our temp to use when we had a massive mailing/stapling job. It is still working fine after being used for thousands of staplings (of two sheets) in only a few weeks. Very good product.

I have used this for 2 months. No problems. I have a lot of papers to staple and it has given me no problems.

My wife kept going through a lot of stapler until I got her this one.

I have had this stapler for 2 and a half years, and it still works perfectly well.
I do A LOT of stapling at work which makes a manual stapler a nightmare.
It goes through several sheets of paper with no problem.
It has only jammed when I used cheap staples. If I use Stanley staples, I have no problems at all.
