5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent portable jobsite tool storage
I bought one of these early this year for work. I loaded it with 150' of extension cords, 150' of air hose, my skillsaw, framing nailer and all the small items I use every day and I roll it right to my job site, sometimes over rough terrain.

It has held up excellently, with not a single shortcoming. The top is well designed and can be used as a portable cut...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good Strong Box Not Made for Shipping
I work for a company that uses this box only for shipping conference materials. The wheels usually don't make it back with the box, they break off when shipping (I only use Fedex, so I don't know if other companies treat their items more gently?) so I just keep re-buying new wheels for $5.00 each and they are easy to put on. The box itself holds up very well. I have...

It has held up excellently, with not a single shortcoming. The top is well designed and can be used as a portable cut stand, just make a cut table and mount it however you like.

This thing is a beast and an excellent investment.

EDIT:

I've been using this as a cut table and tool storage for over 2 years now and it still works great. Some numnutz did cut through the lid a year ago with a skillsaw, but a little silicone and it was water tight again.

The price they're asking these days, $133, is absurd. I think I paid $60 for mine, and I see them at home depot all the time for $80...which they're well worth.

4.0 out of 5 stars !/2 Price at Home Depot, December 22, 2008

Yep...still $59.99 at Home Depot. Come on, Amazon, you can't let Home Despot beat you by THAT much.

Good strong box with wheels--a necessity unless you are a Super Hero.

5.0 out of 5 stars The new equestrian tack trunk...., November 9, 2007

Love this! I am using it at my barn as a tack trunk, and it is fabulous. The wheels and handle make it portable -- no lugging it about by lifting and carrying. It locks to keep my stuff where I put it, and the insert yellow top tray doubles as storage for smaller items (gloves, etc.) or as a grooming bucket.

Only hitch -- the first one shipped to me arrived broken -- it had not been adequately wrapped and padded for shipping, and the outer box had been dropped and torn. I received a replacement VERY quickly though, so I am happy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tack Trunk, May 19, 2009
This review is from: Stanley Consumer Storage 037025H 50 Gallon Mobile Chest (Tools & Home Improvement)
I purchased this item about 3 years ago at Home Depot for about $55.
I use it as a tack trunk.
For about 1/5th the price, this trunk stores more than any horse trunk around my barn.
I love this thing. It's got a pull out handle and a pair of wheels that make it an absolute dream to move around.
The lid locks, which is helpful around a barn, and the thing holds a ton of stuff: large grooming tote, medical supplies, spare wraps and bandages, shampoos, wormers, saline bottles, fly spray, show sheen, boots (I've got a set of Lamicell front and back, Eskadon backs, 2 pair bell boots, Fibar boots, and more in there). I also use the yellow tool tray to store small extras like sponges, ointments, and gloves.

I would buy it again in a minute. For horse people it's a super SCORE!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best box for storage, January 18, 2008

The Stanley product is large yet handles easily due the balance, the wheels and the pull handle. I need a lockable, waterproof storage at the barn for my tack. This is big enough for my saddle and grooming supplies. The best feature is the price!

The box itself holds up very well. I have shipped as much as 140lbs in this box, but don't recommend that. I haven't found anything that works better, so I keep using it and putting new wheels on. ( http://www.stanleytoolparts.com/ 037025H 50 Gallon Mobile Job Chest) Fedex will ship the box without the wheels, but it gets very heavy and hard to move. I like this box because it locks and has holes where the lid closes and I put zip ties there to keep the box safe during shipping. You could also put your own locks there. Home Depot is where I buy them :)

We bought this trunk to use as a tack trunk and for the price it's a winner. The wheels & handle and lock make for a perfect show trunk. Not shown is a plastic tote box that is a little small for brushes etc but still useful. This is a great alternative to other plastic show trunks and costs about $200 less.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Storage, Better Price at Home Depot, December 3, 2009

The trunk is great. There is tons of main storage space, and I also like the tray on top for smaller things--so they won't get lost.
LOVE the wheels. I use it for a horse tack trunk. I can fit 3 blankets, multiple pads, wraps, sprays, gloves, etc etc etc without a problem.

I bought mine on Amazon, and then found it on sale at Home Depot for $59. I didn't mind the Amazon price at first, because it's cheaper than any tack trunk out there... But I'd recommend checking Home Depot first. :)
