Works exactly as advertised. We use this on a steel door than connects the garage to the laundry room. Just open the door full and touch it to the stopper, and it stays until you give it a slight tug. Could not be happier.

We used this on the door leading from the garage to the house on a heavy door. It makes unloading the car much easier. It is very strong and looks very nice.

All I needed was a stop to keep the door open. THIS, is it! My family lives in a home on top of a hill. It is very windy some days and we like fresh air. Therefore, windows are open, and these magnetic door stops keep the doors(bedroom)open, too.

The door to our nursery is always blown shut by the wind if any windows in the room are left open. This was necessary so the door doesn't always slam shut. It's a great buy at a great price. It's easy to install, works as promised. I don't know about the other complaints about how it won't grab. But the magnet works well and releases when you want it to. The bronze we got matched the door handles we have in our house and looks like it was bought all together.

I have a spring loaded door that I want to have open sometimes and this makes that a snap. It is attractive and installs quite easy. Great product.

Our front door is very heavy and slams shut, and this makes it easy and convenient to hold the door open, especially as I navigate the doorway and narrow entrance hall in our NYC apartment with a toddler, baby, stroller, and dog. I highly recommend this product.

We used to have doors slamming shut on windy days with the windows open. This has stopped that. OR the door to the garage now stays open while we unload the car from shopping or travel.

We love to have the doors open and this product prevents the wind from closing them. Easy to install on wood or fiberglass doors.

I wish I had known about these magnetic doorstops a long time ago. We have two problem doors in our house...one for a bathroom that we like to keep open when not in use and we resorted to using a metal sliding doorstop to try and keep it open. The other door is our front door where during the summer we sometimes like to have it open but it frequently will slam shut when there is a breeze. This magnetic doorstop did the trick! It holds the door open and protects the wall from the door knob at the same time.

My only caution for folks installing these (as has been noted before) is that the part that is installed on the door unscrews in order to allow you to screw the backing plate into the door. I wasn't sure at first how to disassemble it so that it could be installed.

I plan on getting a couple more of these for other doors in the house soon.

These were easy to install, and they work great. Instead of bending over to pull out a little rubber wedge (or try to wiggle it out with my toes) I just give the door a little tug and it comes free. (It's like magic.) But they're strong enough that the wind won't slam the door shut when our windows are open. I'm very pleased.
