Fun, Faithful Adaptation of "Stanley" Story,
By George Buttner "Agent0042" (Dayton, Ohio United States) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Stanley: Gorilla Sleepover - Book #4 (Paperback)
"Gorilla Sleepover" is a great adaptation of the "Stanley" TV story by the same name, written by Robert David. The story is adapted by Laura Driscoll and illustrated by Alisa Klayman-Grodsky.In this story, Stanley's friend Lester comes over for a sleepover. But he's nervous and doesn't feel comfortable sleeping away from home. The two use knowledge from "The Great Big Book of Everything" to help Lester feel more at home. This book includes fun animal facts about gorillas and a mini-maze. The illustrations are excellent and readers will learn some really neat things, and an important lesson too. Highly recommended for all "Stanley" fans. |
