Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

When it comes to versatility and value, it’s hard to beat the Stanley SBN200K 18-gauge Brad Nailer. This lightweight, air-powered tool accepts superthin 18-gauge brads ranging in length from 5/8 inch to 2 inches long. Brads are similar to finishing nails, except they’re considerably thinner and have tinier heads. As a result, brads can fasten thin wood without splitting it. The tool’s magazine holds up to 100 T-head brads.

The nailer has a working air-pressure range of 70 to 120 pounds per square inch, and it features a non-marring rubber tip, adjustable depth setting and a side-load magazine that has a handy visual indicator so you’ll know when it’s time to reload. And it weighs only 2.4 pounds, so you’ll likely run out work long before you get tired.

The SBN200K is ideal for assembling woodworking projects and delicate handicrafts, but because it accepts brads up to 2 inches long, it can also be used for light carpentry jobs, such as fastening chair rail molding, shoe molding, wainscoting and paneling.--Joseph Truini

From the Manufacturer

Like its little brother, the Stanley SBN125K, this new Brad nailer from Stanley has all the features that pros need. The SBN200K provides a larger range and capacity for shooting longer nails from 5/8 inches up to 2 inches. Weighing only 2.5 pounds, it's slightly larger than its brother, but it can handle larger tasks. Other features include a cushioned rubber grip for greater comfort and less fatigue; a non-mar tip with added storage compartment for extra tips; low-nail visual indicator (red means low); multi-directional exhaust port; and an easy to use dial for depth adjustment located under the sequential fire trigger. The magazine holds 100 standard 18G-gauge brad nails (any brand) and will operate under standard working pressures of 70 to 120 psi. Uses include detail work like jewelry boxes, bird houses, and fine trim, as well as glue sets where you need to quickly fasten and hold something while the glue is drying.

This review is from: Stanley SBN200K 5/8 to 2-Inch 18-Gauge Brad Nailer (Tools & Home Improvement)
I am very happy with this brad nailer. It is light and small. My wife has no problems using it and it is small enough to fit into relatively tight areas. The depth of the nails is controllable by adjusting the air pressure from the compressor or by turning the dial on the gun. The nail holes are small and the non-mar tip does a good job of leaving no marks. If filled with matching putty, the holes are scarcely noticeable. The rubber grip makes for a secure and comfortable feel and the low nail visual indicator is convenient, although more often than not, I am surprised when I am out of nails.

I am very pleased with the purchase of this brad nailer. It works as good as the more expensive tools that can be rented at half the weight.
