Product Description

Amazon.com

There’s no quicker, easier way to install interior trim than with a pneumatic nailer. But, there are dozens of pneumatic nailers on the market and it’s important to choose the correct one. The Stanley SFN250K is specifically designed for installing all sizes and types of wood molding including baseboard, chair rail, door and window casing, shoe molding, and crown molding. It’s also suitable for cabinetmaking and woodworking.

The 3.4-pound tool drives 16-gauge nails, which are very thin with tiny T-shaped heads. As a result, the nails are less likely to split delicate moldings and they leave behind barely visible holes. The SFN250K accepts nails ranging in length from 1 inch to 2-1/2 inch; its straight magazine holds up to 100 nails.

Additional features include an adjustable depth setting, rotating exhaust deflector, no-mar rubber tip, and a quick-release mechanism that makes it easy to clear out jammed nails. The tool comes complete with a blow-molded plastic carrying case and 500 nails. -- Joseph Truini

What’s in the Box:
Stanley SFN250K 16-gauge finish nailer, 500 2-1/2-inch nails, lubricating oil, carrying case, instructional manual

From the Manufacturer

This new 16-gauge finish nailer from Stanley comes with a carrying case, 500 2-1/2-inch 16-gauge finish nails, and oil. Clearing jams and cleaning the magazine is easy with this gun’s open-magazine design and side-mounted quick release mechanism. Get ready to use this tool all day long - it weighs just 3.4 pounds and it's dressed with rubber comfort grips. This nailer also comes equipped with a multi-directional exhaust deflector, a depth adjustment dial, a no-mar tip, and a handy storage compartment on the back of the magazine to hold extra rubber tips. Don’t let the light-weight aluminum body fool you. It packs plenty of power with little recoil and will drive into any finishing task you may encounter. The magazine holds 100 standard 16-gauge straight finish nails (any brand) and loads through the rear. The tool operates under normal working pressures of 70 to 120 psi, although you should not need more than 70 psi. It will fire these nails from ¾ inch all they way up to 2-1/2 inches. What can you do with this tool? Well, how about fastening crown molding, chair rails, bead board, stair cases, furniture construction, cabinets, and all trim-work (just to name a few).

Fantastic finish nailer. I had no problem shooting 1 1/4" nails and 2" nails into both wood and steel studs to attach casings and baseboard moldings. I can't imagine why I ever used a hammer. I will never go back. This nailer did it all with ease. I would recommend it highly.

1.0 out of 5 stars BEWARE! Fragile plastic pieces inside powerhead!, November 28, 2011

Gun worked fine until a plastic sleeve cracked inside the powerhead. (I ran the gun at 70psi, this was not due to an over pressure situation) I called Stanley Bostich and they said that ONLY o-ring and bumper kits are available for order. The warranty for this tool is only 90 days. What I have is an ugly doorstop. Who warrants pneumatic tools for 90 days when other companies warrant for 2, 3, 5 and 7 years. I'm very frustrated with this experience and will no longer be a buyer of Stanley tools.
