5.0 out of 5 stars Really nice stapler/nail gun
As we are a military family with one of us deployed often, when it came time to get a new gun *I* picked out which one to buy. I picked this one because the handle is padded and even with my small hands I am able to "staple". Most other brands I tried out were designed for men's larger hands as I couldn't even reach the bottom of the grip to make the gun staple. This...

This gun fits even female hands with minimum difficulty.

We've had this gun for about 5 years now and have had NO problems with it. As the years have gone by Stanley has changed the product codes of their packaging so what used to be TRN120 no longer exists with those numbers on the packaging (that I can find anyway) but if you go to Lowe's, Wal-Mart, or wherever just buy the size of the staple/brad as indicated on your gun. For instance, this gun fits TRN580 5/8" 15mm brads (as stated on the side of the gun) - I went to Lowe's and purchased Stanley 5/8" brads 15mm brads to do a project today. No biggie.

Overall, it is a great staple gun and we've got tons of use out of it with all the moving we do. Great investment and a standard tool box item.

I love using this for all types of work around the house--especially for upholstery work, hanging Christmas lights, stapling down indoor/outdoor carpet, etc. but am unable to locate replacement staples anywhere!!!!! Help!!! Where can I go online to get more? I bought the stapler at Wal-Mart but no luck there or at any of the large chain home centers.....don't really want to purchase a new gun--love this one!

A fine product for upholstery and framing. The TR200 uses both Stanley Sharpshooter TRA and Arrow T-50 supplies.
I searched Google using Sharpshooter TRA and located suppliers for the Stanley fasteners.
I searched Google using Arrow T-50 and found several suppliers of fasteners. My local Home Depot has Arrow T-50 staples that worked just fine.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst staple gun ever, May 23, 2004

After several repairs, numerous cleanings (sand), and weeks of trying to install 1000+ sf of insulation in a crawl space the staple gun had to be replaced. Several years of former Stanley products is now wrapped up in the nightmare of this staple gun.

I had no trouble finding the gun. Very happy with that. However, Where do I get the nails. No one in the many stores I have tried carries them.
