"In a While, Crocodile" is one of several book releases based directly on stories from the TV show "Stanley," in which Stanley, his pets, friends and family learn about various animals while solving real-life problems.The real-life problem for this installment is Stanley -- worried that he's not like his friends. Specifically, Stanley is upset because he hasn't lost any baby teeth yet and it seems like all his friends have. He decides that maybe he should learn about crocodiles, since they have so many teeth. He learns many interesting facts about crocodiles, including how the way they lose their teeth is different from humans. Ultimately, he learns that everyone grows and changes at their own pace.Another great Stanley adaptation, true to the spirit of the TV series. Any fan of the series will have a lot of fun with this one. |
