Bought this pot for deer camp. Looks real good sitting on top of the stove.
However, when you make coffee with the darn thing, you've REALLY got to watch the burner heat. If you let this pot boil just a tad too hot, the boiling water spills out the lid and puts out the burner flame. This is because the holes in the grounds holder lid are too small to keep up the flow of the water. I need to drill out all the holes so the water can flow into the basket rather then flow out to the side. Like I said, it looks good but doesn't work so good.

makes lots of coffee mine has a stainless steel basket inside no aluminum what so ever so not sure what happened but so far so good i have taken it out several times no problems with it i would buy this product again

This percolator is better quality than the cheap ones but the interior piece is made of thin metal similar to the cheaper models. The swing handle is also held on with a pretty thin piece of aluminum. I'd be afraid to carry this around full for fear that the swing handle might come off or the metal might break. The top piece is plastic which is nice - it won't shatter. When on sale this is a good deal. Full price it's not worth it. I'd buy this again if it was the same price but if I had to pay full price I'd definitely go with Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops models instead they're made with much more sturdy materials and they're worth the extra money.
