This stove arrived today and I was very pleased by what I found when I opened the package. Build quality / fit & finish was great; the stove did not feel cheap at all. Controlling the flame as I turned the valves was easy and predictable from simmer to full boil. The igniter works very well [Update: Igniter is not 100%, so when trying to adjust to a simmer, which sometimes extinguishes the flame, we keep a long handled butane lighter within reach which saves a headache]. The grate is not quite as sturdy as the Coleman two burner stove we've always had, but it is certainly strong enough to hold a 10 quart stockpot, or a dutch oven.

Since we usually camp with big groups, we bought a griddle to make meal prep fast. The problem we encountered was that our old two burner propane stove heated the two ends of the griddle and left the center of the griddle cold as a stone. So we needed uniform heat under the griddle from one end to the other. The new Stansport three burner stove provides that uniform heat and the griddle now heats evenly and performs like a champ.

[Another update: the paint seems to chip more easily than our two burner Coleman, but not a deal-breaker.]

So I bought the Stansport stove a few weeks before our planned family camping trip. Needed a stove that could fit a couple of larger size pans at the same time. While the width of this stove was wide enough, the depth was very shallow. It just would work out for what I needed it for.

The overall construction seemed to be decent. I feel that the Coleman grates are better made though. The piezo ignition was very nice. I liked that you had to turn it rather then press it. Just a preference of mine. I ended up going with the Coleman Triton 2 burner stove. Was a workhorse during our trip and never let us down.

I bought this stove without seeing it first. After reading several reviews I wasn't sure what to expect but when it arrived I was pleasantly surprised. It is well made, contrary to some reviews I read, and will work with large pots. It also fired up 1st try. I would recommend this stove.
