I was expecting a 32 inch width. The label on the carrying bag specifies 32 inches. The actual width is 29 inches! The ends were easy to set up but the two middle leg supports were impossible to connect until I bent them slightly inwards, then they were easy to connect to the main frame. I would've given 4 stars if the width had been stated accurately.

I reviewed another similar product by Stansport, which we kept but still dislike (had to have something to sleep on that weekend - see my other review). This one, we returned.

We never could get it together. We've got loads and loads of experience putting together cots. The fabric was so tight, there was no way on this green earth we were going to get the two aluminum horizontal pieces together. There just wasn't enough length in the fabric sleeve to allow the two to spread apart enough to clear each other.

Too bad. This was, once, the best cot in the world for me back In The Old Days (when I had my original model).

i bought this cot for my niece when she stays over. it was a nightmare to set up. it was constructed poorly and cheaply. it is incredibly hard to insert the legs into the steel rods. i weitht only 125 pounds height 5'5 yet i managed to break the steel legs trying to insert them. save ur money.

I purchased this from a local sporting goods retailer. Let me first start with the good: this is plenty long for my 6' 3" size. In fact, my feet don't even touch the end even when I'm stretched out. Now for the bad: there are no cross poles on the ends, so the cot sags tremendously; poles fall out of the sockets when you roll over; poles are not durable (one of mine is cracked). In other words, I'm looking for another cot!

This cot has only bad reviews. I don't get that. First of all, it really was easy to assemble. Yes, when brand new it was harder to get the legs on than once it had been slept on, but I'm disabled and walk with a cane, have limited upper body strength, and I put it together alone. It WASN'T that hard.

It's quite large and very comfortable.

So why not five stars? Just a little detail. Because the frame is aluminum to keep things light, The straighter legs you see on the end tended to get a little beat up when you roll over a lot. Aluminum is soft. and the legs' ends were starting to flare out and fit pretty loosely. I solved this two ways: 1) I reversed the legs from the picture and put the straighter ones in the middle and the angled ones at the end, and 2) I reinforced the ends of the tubes using stainless steel hose clamps on the ends of the tubes. Problem solved.

I had been motorcycle camping with an air mattress, and this is much less awkward and much more comfortable, but is still small and light enough to carry easily on my bike.
