I bought this lightweight bag for summer camping, packrafting and backpacking.

I'm 5'10 and ~225, and this bag is a tight squeeze, but not terribly so.

It compresses down quite nicely and would be hard to beat at the price.

It came with a little stuff sack with compression straps, but with the bag alone in the sack the straps don't really do anything, since even when they are fully tightened, there is still slack in the bag.

They'd be useful if you put in a liner or outer shell to add warmth to this bag I think, but otherwise they don't do much.

Not much else to say, I've found it comfortable, but obviously ymmv.

Good lightweight bag.

I just returned from 8 days backpacking Isle Royale in upper Lake Superior and in several areas of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This bag was perfect for those conditions. It is very lightweight and surprisingly durable. The interior fabric isn't the most comfortable, but it isn't horrible. We went the the second half of August and the temps at night jumped around between between 75 and 45. The bag wasn't too warm for the warmer nights (even for my boyfriend who overheats easily) and kept me cozy on the cold nights. When used on an inflatable matress or directly on the tent bottom, the fabric slips all over the place - like sleeping in a slip-n-slide. In the future, I'll bring some of the lightweight foam-style shelf-liner to keep from sliding around so much. I am NOT a skinny chick, and I did not feel constricted by this bag - there was enough room to feel comfortable. While en route, the bag hung from my backpack. The stuff-sack it comes in took quite a beating and the plastic pouch where the label was is starting to tear, though the sack itself held up well. The stuff-sack is stragely large compared to the sleeping bag - the compression straps are attached in a way that prevents them from actually compressing - they just can't get tight enough. However, there was plenty of room to put the inflatable matress in there with the bag so that worked well for me. Before taking another trip, I'll definitely need to replace the stuff-sack.

Washed it before using, and the stuffing went here and there. Some parts left with thin cover without stuffing, and some parts with gathered stuffing like balls. Cannot be used at all after washing.

I ordered this item for a planned spring solo 900 mile bicycling trip. Weight and size are important considerations.

The bag is advertised on Amazon as "comfort rated for 45 degrees Fahrenheit" - but the package label says "50-55F (10-12C)". The temperature rating is only a rough guide, but a 5F-10F difference is significant.

The Amazon blurb says, "1.5 pounds of lightweight hollow fiber fill insulation", yet the package label says "2.0 lbs (.90 kg) of Poly-Therm synthetic insulation". I believe Amazon on this one. The entire bag, without the stuff sack, weighs 2 lb, so it can't contain 2 lb of insulation.

The Amazon blurb's "Nylon outer shell and soft poly-cotton lining" morphed into "Polyester shell and lining" on the package label. The polyester outsides may be less durable than nylon. The lack of cotton inside makes it slipperier and colder-feeling and could account for the reduced comfort rating.

I don't know whether I'd've bought this bag had Amazon advertised the actual warmth rating of 50-55F. Now that I have it, though, I'll give it a try. It is (barely) big enough for me (5'10", 190). If I get cold, I'll sleep in more clothes (not that I'll have a lot of clothes - weight and space, remember!). If it were roomier, made of better materials, and more thickly insulated, it would be bigger, heavier, and more expensive. For this price I'll accept the tradeoffs. But I'm disappointed that it is not as advertised.

I purchase this sleeping bag to accompany my Teton Sports Scout 3400 (which has a rather small sleeping bag compartment) which presented me with the requirement for a small sleeping bag. This bag paired with the Scout 3400 perfectly, unfortunately that wasn't the case for the bag and myself.

Even though the bag kept me warm during a 50°F night it was constricting when I slept on my back. I was unable to have both arms at my side comfortably. I'm 5'6" and broad shoulder but I was rather surprised to encounter this problem. Although, I did find that when I turned over to my stomach and rested my arms under my pillow it seemed to address the issue of constriction.

This bag is light, compact, and affordable making it ideal for entry level backpacking. But as far as my recommendation, this bag is suitable for people who sleep on their stomach and who don't toss or turn during the night or even people with petit frames.

My fiance and I were looking for some lightweight sleeping bags to take on our hiking trip into the Grand Canyon for our honeymoon. This is NOT a sleeping bag you want to purchase if you are really cold natured. My fiance is like my own personal heater when we sleep together because he puts off so much heat. So these really lightweight sleeping bags were perfect for us and perfect for not so cold temperatures. Do not buy these if you are looking for something for temperatures below 40 degrees or if you are sleeping alone at 50 degrees or colder. We purchased two and zipped them together and they worked great for that. They are also very lightweight for carrying on overnight hikes. Perfect for what we wanted!!!
