Built by the seasoned audio professionals at Stanton, the SMX-211 two-channel mixer is designed specifically for mobile DJs who spin CDs. The unit's most notable feature is its cross-fader start, which lets DJs fire up compatible CD players by simply pushing the cross-fader. However, it also boasts topnotch sound thanks to its Superior Sound Technology (SST)--recognized for its ultra low-noise circuitry, high dynamic range, and bleed-free signals. The device includes two line and two phono inputs for connecting to CD players and turntables, and offers gain controls and a two-band equalizer for each channel so that DJs can easily match levels and adjust the tone.

Other features unique to the SMX-211 range from a mic input (also with a two-band equalizer) to user-replaceable faders (common to all Stanton mixers) to a cue section with cue level and cue pan functions (handy for splitting the signal within the headphones). The jacks are rounded out by the single RCA Master output and the 1/4-inch headphone output.
