Works great for me,
By
This review is from: Staples MailMate M3 Full sheet, CD, DVD, Credit Card & Junk mail shredder (Electronics)
Based on other reviews I read, I felt the need to review this item myself.
Not only have I had this shredder for nearly 2 years, it has worked perfectly the entire time. I bought it specifically for the 12 sheet capacity and its ability to shred CD/DVDs and credit cards. The motor is really strong and hasn't showed signs of becoming weaker. I routinely shred 8 or fewer pages at a time out of habit. I had other consumer shredders that died on me and figured that I was working them too hard. So with the shredder, I cut back a bit from the max capacity and life is good.

Total Junk,

I had this shredder for about four months before it broke completely. It just stopped. As was stated in the other reviews, it works well until it breaks. But, at this price, this is hardly something you would consider as a disposable item. I would think of the single positive review currently posted as coming from someone who was just plain lucky with this item.

Works fine, until it doesn't,
This review is from: Staples MailMate M3 Full sheet, CD, DVD, Credit Card & Junk mail shredder (Electronics)
Had it for about a year, until it suddenly died. Power light comes on, but it won't accept paper, and the manual forward and reverse buttons do nothing. After reading around on the web, I found someone who commented that the electronics in the thing are poorly designed and will burn out quickly.
Won;t buy from Staples again, that's for sure.
