Identity theft is a serious concern for travelers. The OmniTech hand held shredder makes shredding on the go a snap! With standard strip cut capability it will completely shred one folded piece of 8 ½" x 11" at a time. Perfect for shredding receipts, business cards, photos, toll or rail stubs, envelopes with addresses or any printed piece of paper for which you would rather be destroyed. The hand held shredder must be placed within check luggage as it does not pass TSA regulations for carry on travel. Operation is ambidextrous and requires two hands; one hand to grasp one side and the other to turn the shred knob.

This unit is NOT designed to do a lot of shredding. It is strictly manual - you hold one side steady and turn a knob at the other end to do the shredding. It will do one sheet at a time - folded in half the long way. Don't expect it to do more - it will jam. But if you adhere to the product limitations - it does what you want it to do. If I were to rate this solely as a shredder, it would get a zero. But, for a small device to do a vital task when traveling, it gets a 10. It weighs about 7 ounces, is 8 inches long, 2 inches wide, and less than an inch thick. With this shredder, at least I can throw away documents rather than have to take them back home to protect my identity. Glad to have it, and the price was right.

Just what I was looking for this is a good crafters shredder perfect strips for scrapbooking or twilling. You can control of how far you shredded down the paper and can back it back out to make grass for craft projects. All you need is a pack of color paper and you can go to town with hours of fun. I love this little shredder so nice I'm buying another one for my daughter. If you are a crafter this will become one of your favorite tools. I must mention very well made and very easy to use.
