5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent reinforcement for a job well done. October 15, 2008

This is a fun toy, but it can also be very useful. I used it as part of my behavior management technique to overcome my discomfort about talking to strangers on the phone. I would make the anxiety provoking phone call, and, after its completion, I would "reward" myself for doing a good job by pressing the Easy Button. Because the voice is loud and encouraging, it served as an external reward. It is now much easier for me to make those kinds of phone calls.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for house-training your dog January 5, 2011
I was originally looking for a bell to hang by the door for my dog. After reading all the reviews for the Tell Bell and all the reviews for the Koolatron pet doorbell set, I realized I already had something that might work: the Staples Easy Button, which my wife had gotten from her employer. It works basically the same way as the other products; it just says "that was easy" when my dog steps on it, is battery powered and does not require a transmitter/receiver. It also has 4 rubber feet on the bottom, which helps it stay in place on our tile floor. My 11 week old Airedale Terrier puppy, after a few minutes of "clicker training" (books, videos and clickers also available on Amazon) learned to use it today. Granted, that probably wasn't how the other products instruction manuals suggested training your dog, but it seems to have worked for us. Now to get him to figure out to only step on the button when he needs out to do his business, not just for fun and treats! I think he'll get it in no time. If you're really enterprising and would like to customize what the recording says, I also found a great web site that gives step-by-step instructions on how to record your own ("gotta go, gotta go," "Rover needs out," "Oo, oo, oo," or whatever). See [...]. Not only does it help prevent "accidents," it's hilarious.

5.0 out of 5 stars A hit with my 13-year-old January 3, 2009
Gave this to my 13-year-old for Christmas and it was a big hit.

He uses it for instrument practice and homework. When he completes something, he hits the button. Whatever it takes!

There's only one kind of sound played. "That's easy." I think this button is so easy that it should be cheaper.
