I am usually very skeptical of bad reviews, I tend to be optomistic. This telescope is junk dont waste your money. bought it as a Christmas gift for our daughter. She couldn't see anything out of it, everything is cheapy and platic, the base to the tripod broke after a few uses. ended up in the garbage. Bought one for 19.99 at walgreens works better.
