Worked Great!,

We have a fixed awning over our deck. I'm not sure what the material is, but it looks synthetic. Anyway, it was leaking like a siv and causing the supports to the structure to generally look bad, rust, fill with water (and freeze) causing damage to the structure. I thought I was going to have to replace it.
I put a single coat of this stuff on the awning and it's like new. Very little water leaks in now. Most of the leaks are from spots I missed! I can't recommend this enough. The only bad thing is that it smells aweful and probably should be applied wearing a paint mask. I applied this from an upstairs window and left the bedroom door open (oops). The whole house stunk for a day.

I treated my tent with this and there was absolutely no leaking. It's easy to apply. It is pretty smelly so I aired out my tent for a couple of days before sleeping in it. It worked so well that I intend to use it on a jacuzzi cover that has a massive waterlog problem at the seams. I had plenty left after doing my 2 man tent and fly cover.

Good Stuff,

I've used this product a couple of times on my boat's Sunbrella Bimini Top with good results.I find the easiest way to apply it is to use a mini paint roller. The advantage of applying this way is you don't get overspray and also the fabric gets a good soaking.

It was evident after buying my boat (off original owner) that its cover had not been treated in a long time.
I used a hand sprayer you use for weed killer to apply the waterproofing. Laid the cover out on my driveway and made sure to thoroughly soak every inch of it. 21' boat, took most of the gallon to do the cover. Ever since the cover doesn't suck water through it and the interior stays dry, even in the heaviest of rains. One thing of note - ONLY use this outside, as it has a very heavy chemical smell to it. That smell does go away, but it is quite strong. Make sure your windows are closed as well. Because I did it in my driveway, it also waterproofed that where it soaked through the cover, so when the driveway is wet, you can see a dry outline of the cover...it even lasts on concrete it seems!

Our boat cover is three years old and had developed a couple of soft spots where water would seep through when it rained. We put the Starbrite solution into a regular hand spray bottle and with the cover on the boat, we sprayed a layer over the whole thing. That was on Sunday afternoon and of course, on Wednesday and Thursday we had torrential rains, so when we went to the boat Friday evening, we expected to see some of the usual water inside. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NONE!!! The cover is now completely waterproof again and even more surprising, it's as soft as the day we bought it!
This is a truly fantastic product and we'll be using it to treat our cover every year from now on!

You definitely need a gas mask using this, or prepared to get high. There is a high concentration of mineral spirits when applying so be careful.
BTW, the first package that came had a small tear in the seal, and the cap was loose, so the whole box had leaked when it was delivered. The mailroom at my work was not happy. Nevertheless I called Amazon, and they sent me another one without question. Thank you Amazon!

Out Canoe Trip group needed to recoat our 12' x 20' nylon tarps that were over 20 years old.
This product worked great. Was easy to apply with a 1 gallon sprayer and only took about 10 minutes per tarp. The coating will extend the life of these tarps for another 5 years at least.

I have used Starbrite's Waterproofing with PTEf on my canvas boat cover, my boat's bimini top and this past weekend on my car cover. It was very easy to use, but I made sure to stay downwind of it!
It rained the day after I coated the 6-year old car cover, now it beads like crazy. I've also used this product on my leather boat shoes; it makes them look nice, covering up scuff marks and such.

Did the job but required a LOT of product,

I ordered the small container with attached sprayer. Spraying a very small 12' boat cover I ran out after 2/3rds of the cover was sprayed and had to order another container. It is easy to apply and seems to be doing the job - even without all their recommended cleaning.

I've used Star Brite Waterproof Spray with PTEF twice in recent years and this product does exactly what I expected. I sprayed my fabric boat cover with Star Brite using my yard sprayer. I laid the cover on a tarp and the entire spraying process took about 30 minutes. Once it dried, it was like a new cover. Now when it rains, the rain runs off like the cover is made of vinyl. In addition, I believe this product has extended the life of my boat cover, which is now 15 years old and still in great shape. Those of you who have boats know life expectancy of fabric boat covers is not long.
