Let me preface by saying if your kids want one, don't let this review dissuade you. However keep in mind a couple of issues:
1. The toy is indicated for 5-12 year olds. We all think our kids are 'better than average' so we don't worry about buying on the low end of the ranges, right? We got this for my 5 year-old's birthday and he really likes it, however, the helmet is heavy and bulky. I'd guess 2-3 lbs. My son is just under 40lbs so you are talking 5-8% of his body weight. If I had a 10-15lb helmet on based on my weight I think it would also quickly tire me. Again, not the products fault, just something to consider when you are buying it for smaller kids.
2. Limited visibility. Like a motorcycle helmet, you aren't wearing this and running through the woods in the backyard. Very limited downward visibility, so difficult to see where you are walking.
3. After you put it together, I'd suggest gluing the parts together. I haven't done this yet, but I have had my son bring the parts to me and ask me to put it back together. It fits together, but doesn't snap/lock in place.

Basically the helmet is like playing in the backyard in a full motorcycle helmet (although not snug). If you can get over that, enjoy, my son sure does.

I purchased this set for my son for Christmas. The item title says that it includes the "Blaster". Well, the gun that is included is not the blaster, it is a nerf gun with a few foam darts. The blaster is a multi piece toy that can be taken apart and put together in many different ways. This is a very misleading title for this item. Please, change the title and remove the part about the blaster being included.

Got this for my 8 year old for Christmas. He thought it was the Coooolest thing. For a while. It is cool! The voice changer makes you seem like Commander Rex. But, it's bulky, and a little hot. Great for winter play, tho! Would not recommend for anyone younger than 7 or 8, for sure. It would be way too big. My son has played with the helmet some, and was fascinated for a short while, but is much more interested in the blaster by itself. He's very into imaginative play, and I think the helmet doesn't leave as much to the imagination. So he prefers to pretend he's got the helmet on, rather than actually wearing it! Very cool toy, tho.

I love this toy. The blaster is pretty cool, and so is the helmet. the helmet is definetly big and bulky, but still fun.
