Fun, Sweet, Sexy and Romantic,
By A Customer
This review is from: Star Craving Mad (Paperback)
This Manhattan vs. Hollywood romance is a delicious treat from an incredibly funny writer. For anyone who's ever snuck a peek at a tabloid (or even those of us who've gone and subscribed to those addictive mags), you'll appreciate Maddy's celeb obsession, all the more so when she comes in (close) contact with her Hollywood crush. Maddy learns some very adult lessons, such as love often being right under your nose. And I dare you to read this and not cry - there's one scene at the end that totally got me, and someone else I know cried at an altogether different scene. Maddy is a bold, Jewish city girl who also dreams of true love and this combination of cynicism and romanticism are perfectly rendered here by Miller. This is the kind of chick-lit book I will keep to reread when I want to laugh, cry, and believe in love all over again. I can't wait to see the movie version!

Most of us don't take vacations longer than 4 or 5 days, so this light, but witty read is perfect for a getaway. Forget Anna Karinana, live in the present! Although it's the longest thing I've read in months since US Weekly, the author's quick wit and punchy dialogue makes this read as enjoyable as it is compelling (without glossy photos of celebs-gasp!) This is the most I've laughed out loud while reading since the Bridget Jones books. You'll wish Maddie was your friend so you could keep up with her crazy life.

This is the ultimate summer read ladies! Abrams Miller's sharp sense of wit and smart writing style gives the book a real edge on others in it's genre. Prepare for some late nights as you won't be able to put it down until you are finished.
