I have loved science fiction most of my life, and although I definitely fall out of the teenage age group I find this show full of action and suspense. I watched it just to see the show that could potentially bump Beauty and the Beast. Within 5 minutes I was hooked. I cant see how this show could possibly be cancelled it's exciting I can honestly say that with the closed mind I came in with. My mind is ready for more and more. I hope they can keep it up.

When I first heard of this show, I was thinking, oh gosh what kind of lame show is this? I mean aliens, really??! But once you start watching, you'll be hooked!

Star Crossed, which airs on CW, is a sci-fi series set in future Earth.

Aliens land on Earth causing confusion and pandemonium. Turns out the "Atrians" crashed and humans believed they were being invaded. In fear and panic the Atrians were quarantined. Some were taken by officials for questioning and testing. Now they have begun an integration program. They start with inserting a few Atrian teens into the local school.

The romance between a human girl and an Atrian boy are described by some other sources and sites as "epic." I have not found that to be the case. This part of the plot seems very, very already done. Boy meets girl. Girl is forbidden to see said boy. Girl and boy take on the world with heart break, devastation and drama in their wake. This is why I gave it 3 stars.

The story has such potential if the writers would step away from the repeat button. Sci-Fi is big right now and the alien thing has not been done as much as other types of the genre. It feels like they are taking the same old story and changing a few details and the scenery.

Star Crossed has become the only show I truly anticipate each week.

Too often we go into new shows with too many preconceived notions of what "it ought to be" or what we want it to be.
When a new show falls short of our preconceptions there is a tendency to tear it down. It is both unfair and unfortunate especially to the fans who want to see their show succeed. We cannot do this and by the same token complain that there are no new interesting, good shows around. Keep an open mind and be mindful of those who are fans of the show; you may need their support someday for a show you love.

Every once in a while a show comes along with an interesting, modern take on an old idea and can present a refreshing, entertaining alternative to the tired same old dribble currently dotting the TV wasteland.

Star Crossed is such a show.

I came upon Star Crossed by chance and didn't have any preconceived notions about the show and was incredibly surprised at how much I really, really enjoy the series.

It is not a hard core SciFi show which I am glad of. (And I AM a fan of SciFi) It has elements of SciFi artfully woven throughout but the true heart of the show is based on the relationships of the varying characters and how they deal with some very serious issues, each other, the world around them and the fallout of the choices they make for good or ill. Oh and yes there is a central love story - that is done with consideration and passion (something lacking in stories dealing with the theme of love today). While the love story aspect is a theme throughout it does not take away from the suspense or action or social, political and cultural issues the show handles with care (without being heavy handed about it).

I'm on episode 4 of this new series and it's getting better. I wasn't sure if I'd like it or not when I watched the first one because I'm not a huge sci-fi fan, but I've been well pleased with it so far. Looking forward to the next episode!

While I think this show would have been better on Syfy with a college setting instead of high school, I did enjoy the Pilot. The female lead actor is in her late 20s and the male lead is 30. If the show was on Syfy, it could be a little sexier which would appeal more to the older crowd, like me. I'm not the typical CW viewer however, I was a huge fan of the show Roswell from 1999 and Star Crossed is similar; the human girl with an alien love interest so it's somewhat the same only different. I'm definitely intrigued and will continue to watch. I love that Roman. He is kind of a smartass which is fun, good casting. I'm a sucker for a good alien love story. I love that these two met when they were little. I can't wait to see their relationship develop and how the humans and aliens will react to it.

This series has a lot of potential. Every episode continues to get better and better. Star crossed is much more than a love story. I have purchased every episode and will continue to do so , once I watched the first episode I was hooked. If you like love stories, action and much more. A lot of people have not heard about this series because the CW network has not done a lot of advertising for this series which is truly unfortunate. Check out their Facebook page or their twitter website. Thanks for reading.
