This book is a keeper!! Lady Araine's brother is killed and she thinks a man she loved did it. Rook Galloway was sent to a prison planet called Tantalus. After 8 years she wanted to confront him and learn the truth. After talking to him she was going to be on her way to meet her fiancee Wynn Slayton. Rook took her hostage and that is how their journey to love begins. I loved their tension. The quips back and forth. This book is full of adventure and suspense. There are some surprises in here too!!
I would tell you more but I don't want to spoil it. Get this book you won't be disappointed.

This is the book that got me started with S. Krinard. I have all of her books and am waiting with baited breath for Touch of the Wolf to be released later this year. Any Krinard book is worth the time to read it. She has a way with words that bring it all to your living room.

I wonder if she will add to this book with sequels. She left it in the end so she could. I would like to know what was in the beginning. How did Rook and his Lady get together in the first place. This reads like the sequel to the beginning of their relationship. I hope that Krinard adds to this book like she did the wolf series. On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give this one at least 8 or 9. The Wolf series get all of my 10's. I'd recommend this as a very good read.

If you like a little science fiction thrown in with your romance, then this book is for you. A galaxy of different worlds with unique inhabitants and two lovers who will knock your socks off! I think this is Ms. Krinards best work! Try it and you'll want to read all her others!

This was the first fantasy/futuristic book I ever read and I was hooked from the first page! It was well paced, the characters were evenly developed, the pacing was believable, etc. On top of all that, the tension between the principal characters was palpable. I enjoyed every moment of their journey and eagerly await a continuation of this series.
