In the ad this clock looks HUGE (my fault for not reading the desc to find out the size) If I had known it was so small I would never have purchased it since the price was so high. It is cute & works good but for $50.00 it should have been bigger - it is worth about $20.00. My son loves it still.

These sell for $30.00 at Toysrus. I tried 2 and could not turn the alarm off on either one. Even without setting the alarm it would go off at midnight. Don't buy!!

I bought this from Star Wars Shops, as far as having a niche yes is it cool to have kinda.
THIS IS WHAT I FEEL

The item was not descriptive in any sellers as far as price maybe a 20 toy store item its alright novelty wise
The thing is hokey parts work limited the Quotes stopped all together in 15 minutes light weight plastic

Final Thought the license departments should be shot
the cost of this and quality makes me wonder does Lucas or someone upper corporation
Approve these Licenses govern Suggested pricing
Since they did not extend Master Replicas License and the quality of this and a few
other Items the NEW Licenses have been handed anyone and more so insulting at many occasions
George Lucas could not have been involved in this product

This was the biggest waste of money, EVER. I thought the alarm clock was going to be much larger then it was, thats my fault for not reading the fine print. The thing that really pisses me off it that I paid that much for an alarm clock, I got it for my husbands birthday and after I ordered it I found the same exact alarm clock at urban outfitters for $20. You can find it in other places besides here and for a much lesser price....

It is very cute. It is exciting to have laying around for any Star Wars fan. The quality is not as great as I had hoped and it is difficult to figure out. Not worth the money in my opinion, but it is still cute.

As the title says this clock is possessed by the "Dark Side." What do I mean by that? Well every ten minutes the clock would turn on and tell me to not underestimate the force. It wasn't a pretty site at the office let me tell you. However! Being the big Star Wars fan that I am I wasn't about to give up on my favorite character for the film. The clock is nice and has a good design. The red time in his eyes is creepy but a nice effect. The clock looks great at my office and I know Obi One never told me what time it really was but Mr. Vader will. Back to the alarm part I had to take the clock apart and take out the sound card. Now and Mr. Vader Clock are all good and he no longer scares people at the office with his random behavior. Overall it is a decent buy I would recommend other Vader clocks with a little more use but with the money I spent I rather back good use of it then try to find something else with a better design.

A little pricey, maybe, a little small, maybe (it's OK tho), ships fast, maybe, but sound quality, i think, its real downside on this product.
Mine seems to work fine (reading other reviews it seems like many people got a buggy product), but the sound quality is terribly bad. Radio sucks through it, or my iPod (the alarm clock has AudioIn plug, which seems like a nice feature until you use it). And worst of all, are the alarm sounds: it doesnt have the breathing sound (no news, it isnt listed but would've been nice to have this feature), and the other three Darth Vader alarm sounds, are way too loud, you can barely understand what he says, you can't lower the volume, and again, sound quality sucks! they sound like if they were recorded from a VHS using an old mobile phone.
It looks nice on the desktop =) I feel sorry for those who payed $50 for this, I hope you got free shipping for it at least, I had to pay $7!

Received this as a gift from a friend a couple weeks ago. Though the volume of the alarm is extremely loud, I still loved it. However, I noticed the clock seemed to run a little fast... then a little faster... then suddenly was about 7 hours fast. Looking at it, I realized that it ticks 1 minute literally every 15 seconds. Obviously I'm disappointed, more so that my friend spent the money to buy this for me, I don't really have the heart to tell him that his (very) thoughtful gift is kind of a piece of crap. Luckily, the radio works flawlessly and I had intended to use it primarily for that and connecting it to my iPod anyway as opposed to making it my alarm clock, so I can deal with the time not working properly. Still giving only 1 star though, because as another reviewer put it, it's a digital alarm clock and these things have existed forever, so how can someone screw it up so badly?

read the reviews that the others have put, its consistent with what happens here.. I bought this for my 7 year old and without the alarm being set it goes off at 12:00am and scared the crap out of him.. the Vader voice sounds are horrible, its so scatchy that you can not make out so well what he is saying.. the mp3 player part is ok.. The size of the alarm clock is great, it's not big and its not small, perfect for a night stand.. We will be taking it apart to detach the alarm for good. OH BE CAREFULL WITH THE BUTTONS IN THE FRONT, THEY BREAK EASILY, WE TURNED IT A LITTLE AND IT CAME APART. Over all its cute and adorable for the young starwars lover's but the alarm portion leave a lot to be desired.. IF I COULD I WOULD LOVE MY MONEY BACK!

This Darth Vader alarm clock is a truly awful product. My son loves Star Wars and he needed an alarm clock. I bought this despite the negative reviews. I mean really, digital clock technology has been around for what? thirty years? How could they screw that up? Well they did. The alarm comes on at odd times and for no reason. And once it is on, you have to pull the plug to shut it off. It will come on even if you don't have the alarm switched on, so you can't even leave it plugged in to use for the time or (also pathetic) radio function. Do not buy at any price - zero stars.
