This review is from: Star Wars Episode 1 Jedi Duel Darth Maul Action Figure (Toy)
There are better STAR WARS action figures than this particular 3.75 inch rendition of the black-clad, satanic Darth Maul from STAR WARS EPISODE ONE: THE PHANTOM MENACE. Darth Maul is remarkable for his geometrically-patterned red and black skin, his sulphurous yellow eyes, and the ten horns on his head. He is also remarkable for his twin-bladed lightsaber, used kendo-style.

Unfortunately, this particular figure skimps on detail, being rather smaller than other figures in the STAR WARS collection. Although Darth Maul's face is properly marked, the markings are not carried on around his head. The back of the head is ordinary, unfinished black. Darth Maul's robes are rubberized.

On the plus side, Mr. Maul's arms and hands are extremely well articulated, allowing bending at the shoulders, elbows and wrists. This flexibility permits him to strike some impressive battle poses.

Darth Maul comes with a Comm-Tech chip (reader sold separately) which allows the usually silent Sith Lord to speak. The Comm-Tech chip coordinates with the Count Dooku action figure.
