This game, Zanac, and Blazing Lazers (Turbografx)are still the benchmark vertical space shooters all others are measured by (and usually come up short). The Genesis had a few excellent titles too, like Truxton and Musha, but in the end it's good ol' Star Force for the NES that's the best of the bunch and most fun to play of them all. It's fast and furious with tons of stuff to shoot at and the gameplay control is absolutely spot-on and perfect!(especially with an Advantage joystick). The firepower is a bit limited but you won't even notice cuz the game's so fun to play. The graphics are awesome even today, which is a testament to the game's quality and longevity. If you have a NES, do yourself a favor and buy this game---you'll be glad you did.
