If you are like me, and like to have a companion strategy guide for lengthy role-playing games, this is a must-have for those that purchase/have purchased Star Ocean for Xbox 360 or PS3.

However, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for this strategy guide. I originally ordered the Star Ocean guide from amazon for under $14, shipped for free as part of the Super Saver Shipping and the item was listed as "in stock" from Amazon. Once purchased, I was notified a couple weeks later that Amazon could not locate the item, and that I could either continue to wait until they could locate a copy or cancel the order. I really wanted to have the guide in my possession before I started playing this game, which I bought nearly a year ago (and have been waiting patiently to play), and all of the other sellers are asking ridiculous prices for their copy, so I decided to play the waiting game.

Well, after waiting over a month for this strategy guide and no further notification concerning the availability of the guide from Amazon, and no other reasonable options from other sellers on Amazon, I decided to look elsewhere for the guide. Luckily, the local Game Stop had a copy for $20, so I bought that one and canceled my Amazon order. A $6 convenience fee is reasonable to me since I have no idea when Amazon would ever fulfill their end of the deal ... hell, for all I know, I could be waiting for this book until Christmas.

So, all in all, this is a great guide to own if you like to have the strategy guides for a long RPG experience, but DO NOT GET SUCKERED IN TO THE HIGH PRICES offered by Amazon's sellers. Do yourself a huge favor and go to Game Stop's website, look up the item and check its availability in your area. The book retails for $19.99 or less (if you can find a used copy) and the book is definitely not worth the $40 plus that these jerks are asking for it.

This is one of those things I wish I bought a year ago when they were plentiful and prices were normal. The book is well written and covers everything in the game very well with lots of pictures to enjoy, so if you're a Star Ocean fan and want to get everything in the game and all the post-game goodies, this guide is a nice thing to pick up.

me I like doing everything 100% so I found this strategy guide extremely
helpful in experiencing everything the game has to offer!

This guide is very helpful - and it does provide everything you'll need for it. Be glad this was released due to the lack of guides for PORTED games that are out now. BUY.
