Ian Hamilton is the son of Jas from the The Star King, he's been picked to be his stepfathers successor as king of the galaxy and is trying to prove himself worthy....Tee is a Vash princess who is soon to be betrothed to a man she met only once as a child and is wanting her freedom. She loves to fly and has taken piloting lessons on the sly when her father finds out and he says she can never fly again so she runs away...She ends up becoming the pilot for Ians' ship although they are both using false names to conceal there identities...Ian is on the trail of a US senator who is out to end Earth's alliance with the Vash Federation..I thought it was a wonderful story, action packed SF with a great romance......There's also a touching secondary love story between older characters Gaan and Lana ....if you like sf, romance, paranormal romance or romantic suspense I think you'll love The Star Prince. It was story that kept me up <late into the night ;> until I finished reading as I couldn't put it down....highly recommended!

Ian Hamilton, an Earth dweller who was the heir to the Trade Federation and crown prince of the Vash empire, was deep undercover. He posed as Ian Stone, a trader of black market items. He was determined to bring the human people of Earth, the Vash people of Sienna, and all the people in the Federation together in peace! However, freak accidents and bad luck kept getting in the way. When his pilot died, Ian's crew was stranded on an awful world called Donavan's Blunder. Ian's critical mission would have failed right there, had a spunky pilot, Tee, not happened to appear. But neither Ian nor Tee told the other who they really were.

King Romlijhian, Tee's uncle, sent Gann Truelénne after the runaway princess. To do so, Gann had to hire Lara Ros, a master tracker. Gann and Lara clashed instantly, but are forced to work together if they were to succeed.

The galaxy would never be the same again!

***** In a word, "W-O-W!" And throw in a few "WOO-HOO's!" Why? Because Susan Grant has created an amazing universe with some very interesting characters to turn it upside-down! The story was well written and very believable. I could not help but cheer Tee's bravery. When the name "Susan Grant" is on the cover, readers best hold onto their seats because it's going to be one heck of a ride! *****

Ian Hamilton has been the picture of propriety since his stepfather, Rom B'kah, named Ian his heir as King to the galaxy. Now, seven years later, Ian is fighting to keep Earth on good terms with the Vash. Wanting to pull out of the treaty that Earth signed seven years ago, Ian has set out to prove that it is best for the galaxy all around if they all stick together. With the return of Muffin, we are also introduced to a crew that will go straight to your heart. When Ian finds himself not able to keep a pilot, he hired 'Tee' whom he knows is running, but he doesn't know from what she's running.

Tee'ah Dar has fled her life as a Vash Princess. Never having the freedom to make her own choices, not even choosing the man she marries, Tee'ah is sick to death of her life as a pampered princess. The only thing she has ever done behind her family's back is learn how to fly, the one thing that she can't live without doing. When her father finds out, Tee'ah knows that she can't stay and keep suffocating under her father's rule, or her heart will slowly die. When she meets Ian, he seems a gift from God, or so she thought. What she didn't know was that he was the prince of the galaxy and if he knew who she was, he would return her before she could say 'Earthdweller'.

Tee'ah and Ian's story is truly heartwarming. All her life Tee'ah has been taught to put the needs of others above the needs of few. This once she has denied her heritage and fallen in love in the process. Ian has done everything he can to please Rom, and not end up like his father, who treats women as bad as he ever treated his mother. Ian has a rolemodel in Rom who he wants to be proud of him, but he doesn't think he could give up the love of his life.

Ian Hamilton's upbringing had not prepared him to become the crown prince of the galaxy. His life took that strange turn after his mother married Rom B'kah, and his new stepfather became the Vash Nadah king. Rom unexpectedly named his stepson as his heir, although Ian has no Vash Nadah blood in him. The Vash Nadah nobility were predictably scandalized. Rom immediately puts Ian to work trying to find the source of discontent on the outer edges of the galaxy, an area that includes Earth and its restless inhabitants, many of whom aren't particularly enthusiastic about being part of any galactic federation. Ian's job isn't easy and gets harder when his pilot drinks himself to death on an out-of-the-way planet.

Tee'ah Dar is a high-ranking member of the Vash Nadah nobility, destined to marry well and settle into the constricted life dictated for women under its constraining social customs. She wants to be a pilot and see the galaxy, instead, so she "borrows" a star ship and runs away. When she finds herself stranded on an out-of-the-way world, her only hope for escape is to sign on to pilot a ship stranded when its pilot dies unexpectedly.

Ian and Tee'ah strike sparks off each other immediately. Tee suspects who Ian is, and his association with the world she's fleeing concerns her. Ian worries that his new pilot appears to have a drinking problem, which is the last thing he needs. Neither of them needs a romantic entanglement that can't go anywhere, but the more they learn about each other, the deeper their feelings for each other become.

The Star Prince is a wonderful futuristic romance with a well-paced plot, warm, engaging characters, and a number of nice little touches that make the futuristic background feel complete and credible. Throwaway details such as the rainbow-colored bubble-bots performing in a street-show evoke an exotic feel without being intrusive.

The characters are sympathetic and engaging. Ian, in particular, is a terrific hero, a man who is challenged to fill a position he never anticipated. He brings all his considerable intelligence, charisma, diplomacy, and daring to a role complicated by political entanglements, conflicting loyalties, language difficulties and family problems. You can't help but root for Ian and Tee to find a way through the seemingly impossible complications to find a happy ending. The resolution is both unexpected and very satisfying.

The Star Prince has found a place on my "keeper" shelf.

As much as I enjoyed THE STAR KING, I could not imagine enjoying a sequel any more but I must say that I did! THE STAR PRINCE is every bit as wonderful as THE STAR KING was!

This is the story of Ian Hamilton, Rom's stepson. Rom has thrown Ian a curve when he named him as his successor to the throne. There are those Vash individuals who feel an Earth dweller would not make a good successor. Ian has been given a secret mission to check out the Frontier but not only does his ship keep getting sabotaged but his pilots keeping drinking themselves to death.

Tee'ah Dar, Rom's niece, has been a good Vash all of her life but all she wants to do is fly. When her parents tell her they have made arrangements for her marriage, she runs away. She runs into Ian at Donavan's Blunder when Dar guards confiscate her stolen star cruiser and leave her stranded. Ian has never met her so he doesn't know who she is. When he finds out she's a pilot he hires her right away. This is only the beginning.

Hang on to your hats for a wild ride through space. This is a one sitting read. I know I stayed up far to late in the night reading just one more chapter to this incredible book. I know I, for one, will be avidly awaiting to see what Susan Grant will come up with next.

Ian's mission is to learn if the earth's unrest has spread to the frontiers of the galaxy.

The Vash possess a long and well-respected heritage. Eleven thousand years ago they nearly destroyed their own civilization. A group formed of eight families at last brought a long lasting peace to their people. Thousands of years later, they still adhere to the teachings set down by their forefathers. Unfortunately, that includes the tradition of keeping their royal women in seclusion. When Princess Tee'ah learns of the possibilities for women from her earth bound cousin, her spirit longs to fly free.

Tee manages to learn to become a pilot, but when her father learns of her skill, he's outraged. Worse, Vash do not marry for love, but for political alliance. Her prospective husband will also never approve of her free spirit. So during a ferocious storm, Tee affects her escape. She heads to the frontiers, but while her ship is being worked on, palace guards arrive and confiscate her ship. Then she learns that Ian needs a pilot.

Political intrigue, deadly intentions, and power struggles give the plot of STAR PRINCE the depth and passion that is fast becoming Susan Grant's trademark. Sexual tension between Ian and Tee begins to build early, adding a teasing and tantalizing tone throughout the narrative, but their relationship isn't consummated until extreme circumstances force extraordinary choices-the scene plays out with majesty and beauty seldom matched. The secondary plot also adds extraordinary pizzazz as tracker Lara attempts to resist the affections of both a ketta-cat and the sexy Gann, whose previous devotion to duty precluded relationships. Favorites likewise make appearances, including the macho Muffin and the great references to beer, now spreading throughout the galaxy. Put this one on your keeper shelf! Exotic and erotic, STAR PRINCE comes very highly recommended.

Tee'ah Dar is the only daughter of one of the eight original ruling families or the Vash Nadah people, and the niece of the ruling king, Rom B'Kah. She is being groomed in preparation to marry Prince Ché Vedla, son of another of the original ruling families. However, Tee'ah has but one desire...to experience the freedom of flying her own space ship. She has been taking flying lessons in secret, until her father catches her, forbidding her to continue. Vash princesses must spend their lives in isolation, doing nothing but supporting their family. Tee'ah has a flash of awareness, seeing her spirit withering away, so she decides to escape. She steals a space cruiser and escapes to the frontier world of Donavan's Blunder, disguising herself and adopting a new name, Tee.

Ian Hamilton is the stepson of Rom B'Kah, ruler of the intergalactic Trade Federation. Rom married Ian's mother, Jasmine, seven years ago and has since chosen Ian as his heir to the throne. Many do not approve of this choice of Ian as the Crown Prince, feeling an Earth dweller incapable of ruling the galaxy. So Rom has sent Ian on a mission to prove his worth to the Federation. This mission carries him to Donavan's Blunder where he meets Tee and hires her as his pilot.

While on his mission, problems arise for Ian and his crew. There is an activist group on Earth that is vehemently opposed to Earth joining the Federation. Ian discovers the leader of the Earth First Movement, Senator Randall, is on a mission of his own to prove that the Federation does not cared about its frontier worlds and that Earth is better off being independent. So Ian and Tee alter their journey to find Randall and convince him the Federation of the Galaxy is necessary to all of the worlds surviving. Meanwhile, Rom has dispatched his most trusted man to go out and find Tee'ah to bring her home.

There are many obstacles in the path of true love however. Problems and breakdowns abound on Ian's ship, the Sun Devil, and for his crew. As Ian and Tee race against time across the galaxy, their respect and admiration for one another grow...as does their love. But each is afraid to reveal their true identity, convinced if they do, neither would realize their dreams: Ian proving his worth to Rom and the Federation, and Tee her freedom to be herself and fly. Their destiny lies in each other; will they realize it before it is too late?

This is a gripping story, fast-paced and full of adventure. Ms. Grant pours her heart and soul, and her expertise in aviation, out onto every single page. Her characters take on a life and vitality all their own. The plot and subplots are spun faster than one can turn the pages, keeping the readers intrigued. Her emotional intensity has one barreling through to a truly satisfying finish, except for one thing, the fact it has to end.

Ms. Grant is truly a rising star of the genre, bound to reach high places in the romance world. The Star Prince is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a dose of adventure with the romance. This book certainly does not disappoint.

A Vash Prince, Rom B'kah "adopted" the twin teenage children (Ian and Ilana) of his beloved Jas as his own. Rom stuns the Vash nobility when he names the outsider Ian has his heir as king of the Vash Nadah Trade Federation as he sees leadership qualities and honor in the lad. Rom also knows that Ian would link the Vash Federation to the frontier that includes the youngster's home planet of Earth.

Led by U.S. Senator Randall and his "Earth First" campaign, Earth seems posed to reject the Federation offer of an alliance. Ian needs to know why Randall is so opposed. His trek into the outer space frontier proves dangerous and he soon finds himself without a pilot. He hires Rom's niece, Princess Tee'ah Dar, though he has no idea who she really is, to fly him in search of Randall. As they learn how dismal life in this sector is, Tee'ah and Ian fall in love, but both hid their real identity from the other. A permanent relationship seems remote, as the bond between them was not started with trust.

THE STAR PRINCE, Susan grant's latest science fiction romance, soars to the stars with a strong story line and deep characters that are easy to like and admire. The exciting plot makes life in outer space seems real. Ian is a great character balancing his heritage with the Vash honor system. Tee'ah is an intrepid heroine who is not afraid to try anything even when her peers condemn her. As with STAR KING, Ms. Grant takes the science fiction and romance genres on a ride not often seen by readers.

Once again, Susan Grant has the uncanny knack for pulling you into her books adventure so that you can feel the starspeeder shudder, see the blackness of space, hear the computers alarm, taste the tock, and yes, even smell the clay-roll. Her galaxy creatures and people are very entertaining, the humor sometimes subtle to make you chuckle and sometimes crazy to make you laugh out loud. As Ms. Grants usual, the high-tech futuristic gadgets and ideals are consistent throughout and very cool.

Ian is a honorable, lovable, sexy, prince-of-a-guy that has a killer grin and looks mighty fine in a pair of tight jeans. He has all the wonderful qualities that only Susan Grant can describe. Teeah is a fantastic heroine, as are all of Ms. Grants women. In my opinion, what makes a really good romance book is the woman. Hunky men are easy to imagine, but its the heroine that makes the book because she has to be the perfect mate for the hero. Tee is someone we can all relate to in one way or another or wish we could find in ourselves. Youll love her.

There is also a well-known, very sexy Vash fella that re-appears to have a little adventure of his own. I was so glad to see him.
You thought The Star King was good? Well, youll have a hard time deciding which one you liked better. So, turn on you gravity generator, grab a cup of tock, and settle in for a very satisfying adventure. Thank you Susan!
