I have this same rod purchased from dicks sporting goods, I love it I tried all the rods the store had to offer and out of all the rods this one called my name when i picked it up. It was extremely light i could not believe how light it was and I know light because I also Own a carrot stix e21 Pro grade and this rod is almost as light considering the size. when you put the top part on it is very very hard to get it out but I don't mind that at all I actually prefer it that way because when i cast and cast i don't have to make sure it is tight on every ten cast like I used to have to do with other cheaper heavier rods. I go surf fishing almost everyday after work for about three to four hours a day and use 3 to 5 oz lures and the rod handles them effortlessly and cast around 150 yards to I want to say almost 175. Over all the rod is worth every penny in my opinion and from here on when it does break if it does, I am surely buying another stellar rod high quality. I slowly moved this rod to my fav rod over the Carrot stix but fortunately they are different type of fishing so I still get to enjoy them both without leaving one to collect dust. Super light very strong high quality and to top it off it got me a stripped bass the very first day I used it but that was just luck :) or is it.
