For those of you who might be wondering what Jake is up to these days; he is alive and well currently performing in Branson, Missouri. I just did a show with him last night (I'm the bass player) and I can honestly say Jake is one of the best singers I have ever worked with; and I've worked with some good ones. For any of you close enough to make it, he's worth checking out...the hype is deserved.

I used to watch Star Search but was not interested to watch it this time because of the Host. I was mesmerized when I heard Jake Simpson sing on Oprah's on 6/8...this new star has a karisma I have not seen in a long time. But now I understand why his voice, soul and beautiful spirit, it seems his uncle preached at a church and Jake would go and sing at times. The ultimate was to hear Jake and Stevie Wonder on a duo singing " Isn't She Lovely" (on Oprah's)that image will stay with me forever...it was incredibly unbelievable how good they both sound together. I have been watching that segment of the Oprah show on my Tivo over and over and over, and I cannot seem to get tired. I did not know Jake has a CD, I will buy it this week end for sure.

I know for a fact that that CD is great, has to be..Jake is absolutely a Star that will continue to shine for a very, very long time.

5 stars to Jake, 3 stars to CBS/Star Search for their poor marketing of this CD and the show... Jake Simpson definitely has a superb voice, style, pitch and the right energy to make almost any song interesting. The Diane Warren opener was definitely not one of her best songs, but Jake does a great job with it. The next 4 originals are all by the same guy, Marc Tanner and I think his writing is at least as good if not better than the DW song.. The covers sound great as well and there is no doubt Jake has the whole package.. However, I am quite disappointed with the marketing strategy of the CD. Why does it have to be titled "Star Search Winner"?? [Whats with that?]... Very egotistical of Star Search and shows they are not really as concerned about making stars as they are about tooting their own horn. They are doing a terrible job of cross-marketing the show and have to get rid of Naomi to find a more consistent judge. 3 regulars is too many when none of them are consistent or have any real credibility when it comes to judging talent. Where is the hype like they've created for American Idol and some of the other Reality shows? They have put together a low budget version of the original show and the producers should be ashamed of themselves for being so ... short-sighted. I hope they plan on making a real CD for Jake that can be HIS CD, not just a promo piece for Star Search....

I just had to let everyone know what a great CD this is. And what an amazing voice Jake has. I was totally blown away by his Star Search preformace, and wondered why he did not have a recording contract. Then when he won, and came back and sang I don't know how I got by, I knew I had to have this CD the moment it came out. All the songs are amazing and heart felt. Not only the three Stevie Wonder songs that he does a great job with. But more so the five original one's. Everytime I listen to it I fall in love with it even more. All the songs are fantastic I cannot pick a favorite. I can just say if you have seen Jake on Star Search or heard him live. Pick up this CD you will not be disapointed. the man can sing.

This man has an incredible talent!! I watched him on Star Search and was blown away each time he performed. I will buy anything he makes! Great Voice Jake!!!

I know a lot of people make fun of people who become stars by reality shows but with Kelly Clarkson of AMERICAN IDOL came a new wave of awesome new talent.....JAKE SIMPSON is the male version....he voice is powerful, emotional, expressive, everything a great singer should possess.....he is the real deal plus he exudes a ton of energy and brings you into each song he delivers!!!! My only complaint is because the producers rushed out his album instead of taking another month or two and adding more tracks.......with a voice like Jake's, he and the fans deserve much more than 8 tracks!!!!!!!!

I went to see Jake sing at The Brew. Co. in Springfield, MO with his band The 4 Jax a lot during my college days. This guy is awesome. Not only does he have an amazing voice, he is a great entertainer. He will be missed by his Springfield fans, but it's great that everyone can witness the greatness we have seen for years! WAY TO GO JAKE!!

Just happened to be watching the Game Show Network and caught a few episodes of Star Search with Jake Simpson. Then I remembered watching the show when it was on primetime and Jake won. I was impressed with him them and now I think he is great. I immediately came to work the next day and went online to find his CD. Ordered it and haven't had it off the CD player since. I don't know what has happened to him, but would love it if he would get back into the studio and put out another disc. I highly reccommend this disc. I don't think you would be disappointed.

Jake Simpson is an extraordinary performer. His CD doesn't do him justice; however, you'll be sorry if you don't buy it, because this man is going to be very successful. If you're not already a fan, start following his career. And for those of you who love Clay Aiken, I love him, too. They each have a unique talent and they both have winning personalities and good hearts.

Jake is a superb singer. He is extremely talented and deserved to take home first place on Star Search's Night of the Champions. He also has a great personality. He seems really humble and genuine. (I even sent him a personal email and he took time out to send back a thoughtful response. You can tell that he cares about his fans, and even told me to write him back anytime I feel like saying hi! What a sweetheart!) I love this cd. I just wish it had more songs. I'm a huge fan, and was excited to see him on Oprah today. Can't wait for his next album. Love ya Jake! Keep doin' what you're doin'!
