5.0 out of 5 stars Instant Classic, November 13, 2009
This review is from: Star Still Shines: Christmas Album (Audio CD)
As a huge fan of choral singing, and one who believes you can't have too much Christmas music, I highly recommend this. The beautiful voices and catchy original tunes go along with traditional hymns to make this a family favorite for years to come. It sounds and "Looks Like Christmastime is here."

5.0 out of 5 stars New Holiday Classic, November 5, 2009

I love this CD. I really enjoyed the mix of traditional and new Christmas songs. I saw the Glenn Mohr Chorale perform the "Christmas in Heaven" show a few years ago and this CD brought back many happy memories of that evening. This CD is a must-have for the holidays.

5.0 out of 5 stars A welcome return to classic Christmas sounds, November 18, 2009
By
It seems that so much Christmas music today is gimmicky pop, with big-haired singers shrieking lyrics over hip-hop beats. I can't listen to any of it; my favorite Christmas music is all the classics: Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Ray Conniff, The Boston Pops and of course the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It's very rare when a new piece of music comes out that is worthy to sit alongside these beloved favorites, but this music from the Glenn Mohr Chorale is right up there. There are no gimmicks on this record. The melodies are pure, the music just takes you to another place and warms your heart. This is a record that will be played at my home during the Holidays for many years to come. Highly recommended.
