5.0 out of 5 stars Star Wars Technical Journal
This is a wounderfull book for the hard core Star Wars fan. It gives technical maps of everything you would want a technical map on. If you want to know how the sublight drive on the Millenium Falcon works, or the parts of a light saber down to the power cell, this is the book to get. Please help to get this book back in print, it is really worth it!

3.0 out of 5 stars The Binding's Not Worth It
First of all, you must notice that this is a great book. It is an in-depth look at the Star Wars universe with details and blueprints of everything from lightsabers to Jabba's Sail Barge. The only problem is that IT IS A COMPLETE AND TOTAL COPY OF THE STARLOG TECHNICAL JOURNALS. For about 1/3 of the price you can get the same thing in a much easier to handle format...

From Vader's helmet to moisture vaporators on Tatooine, this book explains them all in detailed maps, diagrams, and blueprints. Rebel technology to Imperial technology, Hoth to Tatooine, this is the REAL Star Wars Universe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Book!, November 27, 2011
By
PJ "PJ" (Bradenton, Florida USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Star Wars Technical Journal (Hardcover)
This book opens up a detailed, behind the scenes look into the world of Star Wars. Littered throughout the book are TONS of pictures, diagrams, foldouts, tables, etc. that explain all of the minute details behind pretty much everything in the original Star Wars Trilogy. Also featured are blueprints and floor plans as well as concept art depicting houses, and structures from the movies. There are three portions to the book. The first is the Technical Guide to Tatooine, followed by the Technical Guide to the Galactic Empire, and finished with the Technical Guide to the Rebel Alliance. This book is elegantly bound and reprints the three hard to find special issues of Starlog in which these guides were originally printed. I would recommend this book to any Star Wars fan.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tehnical Journal, not for all craft., November 8, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Star Wars Technical Journal (Hardcover)
This is a great book, even though it is a copy of the Starlog 3 issue SW technical journals, it is worth the money. I have a problem with this book. It doesn't contain any pictures of Vader's Tie fighter, lightsabers, Vader's helmet.... But what the hell....it contains a lot of other spacecraft and vehicle photos.

Well its diagrams are great, most books just give you some lame art. The reason that the book contains many model pictures is because Johnson had the original models from Skywalker ranch (hence the 'Skywalker tour') If you knew what was going on you would not have a problem with this book
