This telescope is not very user friendly. Directions are terrible and not detailed. The CD was nothing more than an advertisement for its' products as well as a rehash of its' simpleton directions. Trying to see a star or anything was a disappointing experience. The construction is also sub-par, as the set screw in the end of the telescope tube, where you put the diagonal viewer stripped out within less than a day and no longer holds the magnifying eyepiece in the tube. It is a plastic threaded hole with a steel screw. Save your money and buy not only a more powerful telescope, but a better constructed one.

I wish I had read the reviews before buying and finally giving up with this product. My partner and her daughter (aged 7) assembled the product, but the instructions didn't help much. They did get it right (I think), but neither they nor I could get a sharp image. My parents came to town and my father (an engineer, like myself) and I tried everything we could. The finder scope is the best part. Even at the lowest magnification we cannot get a sharp image of a plane at the airport just a mile away. Good binoculars allow you to see much more. Very disappointed, but too much time has gone by to return it now. Looks good in the corner of the dining room though. Just difficult to explain when someone wants to actually look at something with it .....

I bought this for my Daughter who is really in to space and wants to learn all she can. This telescope is not the money I spent on it. I came with direction that were useless.

The instructions whhich accompany this telescope are at best usless. I bought it for my grandson and neither his parents nor I can figure out how to view anything. I am severely disappointed not so much with the telescope but with the instructions which failed miserably to tell me how to enjoy this product.

I am very disappointed. This telescope is not worth the money spent on it and I will like to return it to the store. The instructions are aweful.

I'm 10 years old and I esembeld it in less than 20 minutes I read complains that it was very hard to esemble it, but it was a piece of cake esembling it.

This may seem harsh but my 11 year old son assembled this product by himself in only 15 minutes. I've read reviews on other telescopes with similar complaints and tend to believe that the assembly problems are more user related then product related.

Overall my son loves the telescope and although it is not the most powerful telescope it is worth the money for the learning experience and excitement that it has brought him.

I would recommend this product to others...
