On May 22, 2010 I walked into my first Weight Watchers meeting at 255 pounds. I knew I was going to change my life. That meeting would be cancelled in a week and I see the fact that I started May 22nd and not May 29th as the first of many things that went right for me and my weight loss. Six months later the second MAJOR change came and that was THIS treadmill. I walked into a gym and decided to try to jog - I ran. This was the most comfortable, amazing feeling. I went back seven times that week. The next week I tried another local gym, they have three different types of treadmills, one looked fancier than the Star Track, one had a TV attached and one looked a little cheaper - NONE of them came close to the same quality run. After trying several gyms and LOTS of treadmills I decided to join my gym based solely on the fact that this exact treadmill was there! Five months later (and 97.7 pounds) I am running my first 10K this Saturday (April 23rd 2011) and it is in no small part due to the wonderful experience on this machine!
